Meeting Changes

Hello everyone, as you all probably know by now, we will be having a federal election on the 27th of November - which happens to coincide with our final meeting of the year.

As our club meeting venue happens to also be a Polling venue, it means we've had to change venue for our final meeting of the year!

So we've booked the private room at the Lonestar Restaurant on Roberts Road Chullora for a final 2007 dinner meeting!

That's right, we'll still have our usual trivia, news etc, plus a great dinner.

More details soon.

In the meantime, don't forget our Haunted Mansion meeting on October 27, with Special Guest - Author Jason Surrell, live via telephone!

I think thats an awesome idea! I just need to figure out where Chullora is!

Haven't you ever caught the all stations train to the city? A stop at Chullora was always a highlight of that trip! Rail yards, lots of concrete, and more concrete and disused train carriages.

Add about 10-15 minutes to the drive to Yagoona down Liverpool Rd.

Also I hope its not an early meeting because I am volunteering at a polling place - you know those annoying people who thrust their opinions down your throat - that will be me!

I did that for a family friend running as an independant at the last state election. It is definitely a bizarre experience, particularly in a small village like ours where you know the people with the other parties.

Wayne is figuring it all out at the moment. I thought it was an awesome idea too. I'm guessing it will be around 6:30 or so, but as soon as I find out, I'll post the details in this thread.
