Disney Cricut

Postby sandie » Mon Jun 11, 2007 7:52 pm

I have both Disney Cricuts and this weekend was the first time I have used them to make characters. Once I had worked out colours it was so easy to make them and they look just like Jolee's.

Lisa, pm me your address and I will send you one.

That is so cool... I can't wait to see it. Thank you so much. :D

My boss at the Scrap shop has the font cartridge and only opened it recently too.
I had a play with The Mickey font one last week when I was working on a LO from my ( ) 8 years ago trip to TDL. I used fairly thick holographic card and I wasn't sure it would work but thankfully it did ( and more importantly, didn't wreck the blade on my bosses cricut) I am finally getting there. I just keep doing other random LO's in between and its stretched out to this long. I am determined to finish it this year. I'll upload it tonight into the scrappers album.

My latest project is a mini book of the Pirates meeting last year. It was going to just be a double page but it has taken on a life of its own, with pirate facts and a little history and stuff. I still haven't stuck an actual photo of the meeting down, but there are a few of Captain Jack already
I have used one of the maps from the table decorations as a background paper on one of the pages and it looks great. I've lost ( for the moment) the pirate money and my name tag that I kept but I've seen them here since I moved so they will turn up eventually and then make their way into the book too. I'll upload the pages as I do them.

Ok... I'll PM you my address now...
I'll put it on my next TDL LO.... :D

Has anyone seen the new Disney Cricuts? Happily Ever After and I am not sure of the other one?

You know, I have only wanted to buy the Robo rather than the Cricut but OMG....
those new cartridges are WICKED! :D

They really do look just like Jolees. I love how they have not only the princesses but lots of the other characters too.

I saw that 'Happily Ever After' and 'Dreams Come True' are only available in the States. Did you get some of those on your trip Sandie?

I think I want a Cricut now. And they are half the price so thats even more attractive.

If they keep bringing out Disney cartridges I just might have to get one. :D

I just bought them on EBAY. i have not forgotten about sending you a mickey I just temporarily forgot!!

I went to Mouse Memories and it was awesome although nothing had prices on it so I spent $350 without knowing it!!!

I also got a different DCWV pad - Rock Star which is as good as the others.

not a problem... :)

now that would be awesome. I'd do the very same, its not like you can just wander back next week.

I just went to their site and I LOVE the Rock Star stack. I love the foil details. I'm going to need one of them.
My favourite is still the Far East stack though.
I'm loving the new Basic Grey papers as well. I can only imagine the Disney goodies you brought home to scrap with.
I guess you'll be well prepared for all your trip scrapping. How many photos did you take? :D hope we see some of the photos and scrap pages in the albums.
Maybe we should do some kind of monthly challenge/theme here? I'm sure there are more scrappers than just us on the forum....

2802

That's a lot of photos - are you printing all of them??

Even when we had large numbers, we only got 300 printed! (Yep - it was hard to cull down to that many!)

How cool is photo pass? It was launched when we were over there, so only Test Track was using it as well as the photographers in the hub, so we only had a few photos on it - but I was able to view the photos online when I returned to Sydney, and then order them online, shipped from the US, for less than what we would have paid for them at the Kodak shop in the park - and they arrived in just over a week or so. Great service.

It will be so cool seeing you pick up all those photos - I'd love to see a picture of them all after you get them home!

Yep, me too... I'm seeing visions of a mountain of scrapable photos.... I guess the stack would be impressive. I can't imagine that many photos in one go.

Do you think the 6 Once Upon a Time albums will be enough? :)
I predict that Cricut will really get a workout in the near future.

My two new Cricut cartridges arrived today and one of them has a couple of Mushu's on it - i will send them when I get around to making you a Mickey Lisa!

On the photos we actually had 3500 and for some reason the shop I went to thought because I had so many printed that they would give me doubles for free. So I had 7000 photos to sort - I almost have them all in temporary albums until I get around to scrapping them!

I'm looking forward to seeing these cricut creations :)

I don't think I can even imagine 7000 photos in one place. Thats just amazing. How do you store all your photos when you are still on your trip? do you have a little portable thingy to store them on, do you take a laptop or do you have them put onto disks as you go?
Just sorting them would take me a month. Hmm.... maybe more :)
