I loved that show.... I can't wait to see that movie. Looks like its been well cast too.

I love it!! Get Smart is one of the greatest TV series ever

When Della and I were in LA a couple of years ago, we did a City tour that pointed out the "Control" building where Max used to drive his car up to during the opening credits - it was a highlight of my trip (Yeah I know the building was meant to be in Washington - but this is Hollywood!)

I wonder what other characters there will be? I see Terrance Stamp is Siegfried, and I love Anne Hathaway as Agent 99. Just can't wait for this one.

I hope we see a return of the shoe phone, and Hymie, and Fang!

Would you believe I used to watch Get Smart every day of the week as a kid?

OK, then would you believe that I used to watch it every weekday it was on?

How about I used to watch the ads and hope it was on every week?

I also am a big fan, and when I saw your post I was scared that this would be another attempt to revitalise great TV shows of the past and destroy it like they did with some of the shows. However it well could end up to be a success like the Brady Bunch movie did. Well I hope so anyway. It would be disappointing if they destroyed it.

Watching that trailer, I held that concern until the last shot when he poked through the beaded blind, and it fell apart. That was funny. I'm looking forward to it.

To be genuine they need to have Fang and Agent 13. And of course partnering Siegfreid has to be the Craw.

Yeah, some of the 'TV to movie' offerings have been pretty woeful but this looks ok so far. I laughed out loud at the trailer.

Funny... I had a delightful older ( very classy European) lady say the same thing to me today at work. I liked her a lot because she told me I was a gorgeous young thing...
clearly her eyes are going... but it made me smile for a good hour just the same ....

Another of my absolute FAVOURITE shows from my youth is 'Monkey'.
Anyone else remember that one?
It was on the ABC and was this absolutely hilarious Japanese show with weird looking samurai type of folk doing weird things with swords and with subtitles that you were hard pressed to follow. What a hoot... I never missed it . Not sure what it was that I found so appealing other than how totally alien the whole thing was to my world at the time. I've always had a rampant fascination for anything Japanese though so maybe thats where it all started from... wow... thats a spooky thought
that show had equal billing in my book with the Kenny Everett Show.... I could still quote you Sid Snot verbatim....

Yet another show that my brothers loved!

Actually, now that I think about it, I rarely got to watch anything I wanted on tele thanks to my brothers. Young Talent Time and A Country Practice were probably it, and that's only because my mum wanted to watch them too!

I only sometimes watched Country Practice but I did really like the double episode with Molly and Brendan being a young farm girl and bush ranger, the one where Jo lOveday died and the one where Molly died of course.

I never got into that show at all. For that matter, I never really got into the Kenny Everett show either - he was always too queer for my liking...

...but The Goodies...now that was a show I absolutely loved!! I even went and saw their live show at the Sydney Comedy Festival a couple of years ago - it was hilarious!

of course... thats what made his so damn funny. Kenny is a god.... My best friend from school... who coincidentally, I was talking to at length about Kenny last night...and I could do entire skits from that show ... still.... He was a scream.

Yep, won't get any argument from me on that score... I loved the Goodies too.
