No. I got a private invite to the opening but couldn't get up there yesterday. I'll probably go next week at lunchtime. Did you want something? I went to one in Hawaii and it looked just like an Apple Store with bright green shirts instead of blue...

Thanks for the offer Keith but there's nothing I really need, want is a different matter, but not need.

Looking at the photos it does seem like an Apple Store clone.

Apart from copies of windows what have they got to sell that has the actual Microsoft brand on it?

Surface which will have the keyboard fail after a few months, or runs RT which can't be upgraded or download many apps you actually want to use like media players of Chrome.

I've been reading good things about the latest surface, apart from the price. You're not a fan though, I take it?

I've got a 2, free from the place I studied with. Its ok, and I admit to liking some things about it, but overall, no.

So there are laptops and tablets and never the twain shall meet.

I seem to have settled on a laptop to create and a tablet to consume.

I agree, I don't believe that tablets can or will replace the laptop/pc.

I really miss the big dual monitor setup I used up have.

I am liking windows 10 on my laptop though, a much better experience than 8. They must have realised that not everyone wanted it to be set up so heavily for touch screens.

8 was too much at once I think. And yes they leant too hard to touch screen. Haven't used 10 yet, so I'll look forward to it.

Yes - I like Windows 10 too.  I've got it installed on a touchscreen notebook (and don't use the touchscreen).  So much better than Windows 8.
