How to surprise 13 year olds

Postby ajp » Sat Feb 22, 2014 5:20 pm

Had a funny experience recently. I was doing a get to know you exercise with my 13years rep team recently, and I asked them to tell me some things about themselves, including a little known fact about themselves.

I went first and my little known fact I said that I love all things Disney. Well as soon as I said it, there were 12 13 year old girls who just looked at me in disbelief that a grown man would say such a thing. It was a very funny moment. They all of sudden released themselves and started saying how they also like Disney, some had even been to Anaheim etc, so it was a really good way to break the ice. But that initial reaction was just gold.
2023 Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Lines - Disney Wish. Going to be awesome to be back!

I've done the same thing to a group of adults and they looked at me like I was crazy. But then about half of them come up to me later (individually) and said they also liked Disney and either loved the parks, or wished they could visit the parks some day. They were just to embarrassed to 'come out' as Disney fans in front of everyone else :D LOL

I wouldn't be able to say that...it's a VERY well known fact that I LOVE all things Disney. So well in fact that some friends did NOT tell me they were going to Aulani!!! They wanted me to get their postcard and be surprised. So now they have a list from me-lol. Disney is for the child in ALL of us!
