Here we go again - another year, another resurrection of this thread
It is one game each in the State of Origin with the final to be played this Wednesday night.

Can NSW retain the shield for a back-to-back win, or will Queensland triumph like they have so many times in the past - we will know in just a few days time

I was wondering when the second game would be played.... clearly I missed it all together!  Although I don't follow the game, I know I should say - Go Queensland!

Yay. Great game too.  Finally won two years in a row to make up for all those years of losing!

And now that the State Of Origin is over we can concentrate on the real deal. The Rugby World Cup in Japan in October.

LOL - Rugby Union is pretty dead in Australia.  They try and reinvigorate it every now and then and it gets some airplay when we are winning, but the days of having a great team are long behind us now.  Besides, who wants to see New Zealand winning all the time

I was actually half planning on a trip to Japan in October but then realised that was when the World Cup was on and I would probably see more of it here. There would be lots of cool memorabilia available in Japan though...I wonder if there will be any Disney themed stuff?

Congrats NSW, I hear it was a well deserved win.

I do feel that Townsville tourism operators were the real winners - someone set up a tent city due to booked out accommodation and I believe they were selling at $165 per night!!!
