Disney Crocs - would you wear them?

Postby mushu mama » Mon Nov 20, 2006 9:30 pm

Well, Ok, this is about Disney, but there isn't an 'apparel' section  so I am putting it here for want of a better spot.

On another forum, I just came across the most amazing shoes.. (now I know the blokes on the forum are doing this.... ... and swiftly exiting this thread right about now)
I have a friend who has just returned from a trip to Canada/USA and she is wearing her "Crocs" everywhere and trumpeting their amazing comfort. While I had heard of them before I didn't know there was a Disney version.

take a look:

My question is... have you come across these before and would you wear them?

Because my friend waxes lyrical about her Crocs, I would be very tempted - especially with the mickey cut outs on the top. Plus the fact that I love quirky stuff, so they appeal.... :D
They're not too bad as far as cost goes US$34.99 plus postage.
(I've paid an awful lot more for shoes that made me wince at every step.)

All they need now are Disney Jibbitz to go with them....

I did start rolling the eyes - then thought better of it (I got a bit scared of Mushu)...then I actually looked at the shoes...

...and they do look pretty cool. And if you don't wear sunscreen, you would get little hidden Mickeys burned onto the tops of your feet :D Now that would be cool!

I'll see what Della thinks of them, but I genuinely like them!

Oh...and now back to being stereotypical...

Seriously crocs are the most comfortable shoes ever made as long as they are genuine. I wear my blue ones all the time and my pink ones sometimes (can't be too girly!) and would love Mickey ones!

I'm really liking them.... and if they are going to be available here in Australia soon, then I want me a red pair!
And... umm.... a black pair.... and.....
And if you don't wear sunscreen, you would get little hidden Mickeys burned onto the tops of your feet :D
or Mickey shaped freckles for that longer lasting effect......

Oh...and now back to being stereotypical...

I saw there has been quite a bit of press in the business news this week about this Crocs/Disney tie in - so I would expect that this is just the start of their relationship and that we'll being seeing quite a few new products in the coming months - but like you say, just hope they release them in Australia.

Did you get your Crocs in the US or here Sandie?

It'd be great if the Disney Crocs did become available here - save all that postage and waiting.
I just hope they develop Disney Jibbitz to go with them. :D
It'd be like pin collecting for shoes.... I love it!

Crocs has an Australian distributer - http://www.crocs.com.au

Crocs have been available here for a couple of years in the surf shops but buying straight from the distributer is much cheaper - I will email her and see if she knows about the Disney crocs.
