mmm...interesting!

Whilst I just added my disney confession on another thread, I should just add here that I confess to never having read or watched ANY Harry Potter books or movies. I am visiting the Universal parks in Sept/Oct with at least one die hard HP fan so I do think I will read at least book one before the next eight weeks are over!

I have been on leave for the past 2 weeks and have read all the books and watched all the movies again for the umpteenth time. I do it each time a movie comes out. Now I am ready to see the end. (my 18 year old sobbed at the midnight screening)

Well said Lisa!

Even Della who is not a big reader, flew through the Harry Potter series.

I like to do this too Beth, but haven't this time since it's so close to the last movie release and it's pretty fresh in my mind (oh and having all three kids home -school hols for Ben for the past two weeks really hasn't left me with a spare second to do anything so solitary as READ!).

As Zach was driving me home from work tonight, he says "mum have you seen the new Harry Potter yet?" then I had to confess we'd gone to the Midnight viewing. ( the first premier we haven't all seen together) I felt so guilty. He doesn't live at home anymore so he was a little out of the loop. His quandry is, he hasn't been bothered to read the last book ( girls got in the way) so now he doesn't know whether to read the book first or go see the movie. I think he'll have time to read the book first and then go see the movie... It'll be on for AGES at the movies I suspect.

Just saw the movie...I cried!

Awwww.... :)

I was amazed that both Millie and I were dry eyed, we both expected to be in tears... and I'm sure he'd kill me if he knew, but Zach saw the movie last night and admitted to shedding a tear as well... cos he didn't read the book first so he had no idea what was going to happen so was blind sided by a few major moments.

I want to go see it again now -/

I saw it last night and loved it!

They had the making of featurette at the end of the film - thank goodness, as I would have hated to see that before the movie began! Now I know what you guys were talking about - it would have been a major spoiler.

I finally saw it today and thought it was great. Took my mum to Gold Class as a part of her birthday present and remembered how annoying she is to watch movies with! She's a talker - luckily she was pretty quiet... I would have been annoyed if I'd paid $40 and some stranger kept saying things like "Urgh he's horrible looking!" all the time

I cried in a few spots but was really happy with the pace, the special effects and the way the earlier movies were shown in flashbacks. I thought the two hours flew by. And now it's all over. Except for Pottermore :)

Oh dear. I got access to the Beta test for Pottermore and I have been on it (apart for brief periods where those pesky children of mine demanded such luxuries as food and drink  ) for the four hours since. I'm in Slytherin of all places, the one house I thought I'd never be sorted into. It's a pretty cool site though. A big time waster that's for sure. Can't see myself spending a lot of time there once I've read all the backstory and extra bits though.
