Video Games

Postby KeithS » Wed Mar 09, 2011 6:38 pm

Is anyone out there playing any new video games?

I'm currently waiting for Dragon's Age 2 to be released - I can see that using up a lot of my upcoming weekend...and a few solid weeks more.

At the moment I'm playing Test Drive Unlimited 2 - which is sort of like The Sims with cars thrown in. It has some of the worse voice acting and video game storyline in history, but the driving sequences are fun.

I also bought Amnesia: The Dark Descent - which is a horror survival game and voted the most scary game of all time by many people. I thought that video games can't really be scary, so I bought it on special, installed it, and after 45 minutes had to stop playing because it was freaking me out at night...totally awesome - I'll get back to it soon...one day...maybe...

Epic Mickey got a flogging during the school holidays, but that has died down a little now. I haven't played it yet, but I might start later in winter I think.

I remember that there was a time when I played video games. That time was before children :)

Don't worry Mel, a couple of years, they'll grow up and you'll be back into it again! 8)

I never got GT5 - I saw it for $69 before Christmas but held off buying it in case someone got it for my Christmas - suffice to say, no one did and now when I go to buy it, it is over $100 everywhere! :x

Call of duty
I like Call of Duty as well, but the last version "Black Ops" was a major disappointment. I then discovered Battlefield Bad Company 2 - and that was brilliant, it was much better than the last Call of Duty game.

I started playing Dragon Age 2 last night - but I kept getting graphics problems, so I'm waiting for a patch. I'll be back on Test Drive tonight (I'll squeeze in an hour before the football begins!!)
