Still here and waiting....

I'm officially due tomorrow. Both of the boys came a few days early so I expected the same for this one. Obviously, the baby had other ideas! I'm not as impatient as I was yesterday though. Last night a strange calm came over me and I'm happy to just wait now and have the bub when he/she is ready.

We have a girls' name all picked out, but have no boys names. Anybody got any Disney-related suggestions? Might help us to pass the time!

Disney boys' names ... ummmm... could go either way. There are normal names like John, Michael and Peter, then you get the old fashioned names like Donald and Edgar. Then you move into names from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds such as Shen Yu or Aladdin then there are those that sound more like nicknames such as woody or buzz. But then you could move to the really cruel like nemo, prince or linguini. Hope that's helped ... pass the time that is!

I've told Craig that the baby is most likely a boy and refusing to come out until we have a 'real' name for it. I've found the last few days quite comfortable (we DO have aircon), probably because Craig's been off work to help look after the boys. By 'help' I mean do everything He's back at work tonight though, unless baby decides to show off and come on it's due date. No doubt by tomorrow night I'll be grumpy and wishing the baby out again!

Yep, still waiting. Ben's changed his prediction... about six days ago he told me I had ten days to go At the time, expecting an early arrival, we laughed it off. Every day since he's been counting down and telling me first thing in the morning how many days to go. Today we're down to 4. The end is in sight... they are talking an induction on Friday, which I really want to avoid. It was weird reaching the 40 weeks for the first time but now as we approach 41 it's just downright ridiculous! Come on baby!!!!

I can see it in years to come Mel, when you're trying to rush out the door to get to somewhere on time, and you'll be yelling "come on [insert name] will you hurry up and finish getting ready?"

Good job you are a Disney fan - all those hours waiting in queues for food, rides, bathrooms, park entry, park exit, fireworks etc makes us a more patient group!

Just posted this in the Club News section, but thought I'd post it here as well:

"Hi guys! Well, the newest Disney fan has finally made his grand appearance! Joshua Mark Blackmore arrived last night at 8pm after a three and a bit hour natural labour. He was 7 pound 8 ounces (3.4kgs) and 48cms long. They let me out earlier than the normal six hours post-birth and I was home shortly after 1am - after stopping at Maccas for my much-longed for chocolate thickshake

Ben was initially upset that a) Josh arrived two days earlier than Ben predicted and; b) that he was not the much-longed for sister He got over it with his first cuddle now and has already driven us mad asking if he can play with the baby and when the baby will wake up.

Jared is a little bit wary. He's a total mummy's boy and doesn't like that he has to share me with another brother now. He's not too bad though and is fascinated by him - especially his ears for some reason!

Gotta tell ya though, this shop is closed! While I am slightly disappointed that I will have no Disney princess to dress up on trips to the parks, I am thrilled to have three boys (five if you count Craig and the dog! ) "
