How are you celebrating the new year and what are your new year resolutions?

I'm going to a restaurant in Wollongong and then watching the fireworks at the Wollongong harbour.

New year's resolutions? Exercise more, work less, eat better, go to HKDL!

after last years debarcle ( got kicked out of the restaurant about 11pm - don't ask) a group of friends and I are going to enjoy a kid-free-grown-up kind of night of dinner and dancing to live bands at a local surf club. Then fireworks over the beach and then probably head to the RSL cos its the only venue open much after midnight. Dancing shoes are mandatory. -/

Resolutions... now this I've been pondering with all seriousness for DAYS, I don't make resolutions lightly.

So here goes: learn well, eat healthily, swim more, stress less, learn yoga, Do a tandem skydive ( thats been on the list for YEARS), find a better job, visit HKDL, trust advisedly, and above all, be grateful.

Have fun tonight everyone -/ -/

We are going to have a quiet one tonight - just going to our favourite pizza restaurant in Mortdale, followed by DVDs or Wii at home and watch the fireworks on TV.

I don't do resolutions - if I think of something to improve my/others life, I start it straight away, rather than waiting to January 1 - that way I get a head start :D

GOOD MORNING 2011..... ITS GONNA BE A GOOD YEAR and a BIG HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone here, -/

Hope you all enjoyed ringing in the new year - however you chose to do it - and that it brings an exciting 12 months your way.

The rain only held off till about 12.03 am and then its been bucketing down ever since :? but from our vantage point at the highest point in Caloundra, we could see all the fireworks going off along the coast all the way up to Coolum ... beautiful to watch bursts of brilliant sparkles all along the beach.

have a good recovery day, - I'm heading to the cinemas... not sure what I'm going to see yet .

Happy January 1!

Had a great night in the "gong" but Disney spoils all other fireworks.

I'm the only one up and am enjoying The Sex in the City marathon in the peace and quiet. The cicadas are certainly building up outside!

So true... have you seen on the Disney Parks Blog, they're posting beautiful NY fireworks shots from each park around the world as they happen? the one of TDL is absolutely spectacular... that would take some beating...

heres a link if you want to check it out. they're up to Paris DL so far.

Happy New Year 2017!!!!

Did anyone do anything exciting?  It was all quiet in our household last night, we just watched the Big Bash then some of the TV coverage - swapping channels.  No big partying for us these days!!

I remember running into Anthony and family a few years ago on New Years Eve at Circular Quay - what were the chances of that!

I remember that, it was a one in a million - literally . That was a good night. Quiet one for us too. Went to the gong to watch the fireworks at 9 then went to our 3/4 completed house to watch all of the fireworks across Sydney.
Happy New Year to you all, 2017 is shaping up as an awesome one for us. Back in the saddle as it were.  Hope everyone has a great year.

2016 certainly had some ups and downs for me but, hopefully, I should have some news to share in the next month or so concerning my 2017.

Here's hoping. Travel and a bit of a change of scenery.
I'm not a big believer in resolutions but does anyone have interesting plans for this year's?

We saw the new year in trying to get home from the early fireworks at Glenelg Beach... which was wonderful... but then took 2 1/2 hours ( usually 40 mins) to get home as the public transport which got smashed to the point of people nearly falling out of bus doors when they opened.  Never seen anything like it... anyhoo... the fireworks were beautiful and that part was great...

2017 and I'll be moving back to QLD in about a month and resuming Uni... got a few other irons in the fire but still a lot of kinks to work out.  Hoping for a trip to Perth this year to meet my Dads  biological relatives that we've just found ( he was adopted in the 1940's)

Just thought I'd say Happy New Year (a bit late) to every one.  I know most people use Facebook these days, but I'm still here on the old forum :) LOL
