7 nights at the Disney Santa Fe.
We stayed there - the rooms were basic but clean - we didn't stay in them long enough to care :) What was great about the hotel was the amazing breakfast buffet - that was really worth it.
It's an easy train trip from there into central Paris
Yep - very simple to get to Paris from Disneyland. You want to go to the City on the weekends as the Disney Parks are VERY busy on weekends.
so i went for the Park Vue Inn.
I haven't stayed there but it is in the hotel block on South Harbor Blvd that is very convenient to the parks - good choice.
I got upgraded on the flight from Tokyo to Hong Kong
Excellent!

I can't tell you how much I laughed over your recent reports Greg. The poster in the public toilet and your feet size

I'm used to women laughing at my "feet size". :(

Did I mention the sesame flavoured churros in Tokyo? One of the longest queues.

We hope to be there is December but I don't think I'll brave the queues for a churros that has been tampered with - plain or caramel that's it. I know it will sound ethnocentric but the Asian idea of sweets and mine don't quite correspond.

You'll be surprised by them Beth - we found the desserts over there to be amazing! Lots of chocolate and/or berry flavoured desserts - yum :)

Also, they have maple churros - which I loved!

Now that just sounds grose  are they sweet or savoury?
But did they have strawberry?

Yep, those I'd have.... Until my trip to the US, I vehemently detested Maple syrup. Then I had the real deal and I was hooked.... my BFF is flying out to LA Wednesday  and when she asked me what I wanted other than Disney ( that was a given) I asked for a bottle of maple syrup...

I have just read through Greg's day in Macau. We really enjoyed our day there and didn't gamble. We did check out Jackie Chan's casino and had the best portugese tarts ever - one of the many legacies of portugese colonisation. The other is the many statues including the one Greg spoke of. Apparently the portugese spent a fortune on obscure sculptures before they left as a parting gift and many of them are greatly despised by the people of Macau. Apparently there is something religiously incorrect with the one Greg mentioned but I can't recall now. Interesting stuff!

Greg's day in HKDL sounded like mine. We almost had the place to ourselves. Hey Greg like me did you lose count of how many times you rode Space Mountain? Wasn't it great to get off and walk straight back on again over and over?

No, didn't lose count. All those years in casinos have given me the amazing mental arithmetical ability to count to zero in my head.

I did notice that there was absolutely no line for Space Mountain.

I don't know if you all got the email from Greg yesterday - he was just leaving Hong Kong to head to South Africa but he told me he wasn't confident in having Internet access once he got there, so we might not hear from him until mid-March when he gets to Paris.
