Morning Sunshines...

Just hoping that one of you guys can tell me what buttons to click ( or if its actually doable) to reduce the size of my photos in picasa3. The program that I was using is now refusing to open so I downloaded picasa. And I can do all the other wizz bang things on there, just haven't figured out how to reduce the size to post or send via email.
(course, being awake - well sort of - and standing on a beach with camera in hand at 4.44am this morning might contribute to my inability to figure this out)

Any suggestions?

Once I get that sorted I can post some more photos for you to figure out.

Hi Lisa - I've had a look at Picassa 3 and there doesn't seem to be an option for image resizing in it.

If you are just using Windows - you should be able to use just the basic Windows Paint application that is part of the operating system. If you are on Vista, just click Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint (I think it is something similar in XP)

It is VERY basic, but you can easily resize images - just load the image and press CTRL-W - then just downsize it by whatever % you need.

In Picassa 3 go to either File - Export to Folder or just click the export button at the bottom and it will give you all the options you need to resize etc before saving the new copy wherever you specify.

Nice one! I'd never have looked there (why not a normal "Resize" menu option for pete's sake - like every other image processing application!)

It's probably for people who take a decent quality photo with their new camera, resize it to something tiny so they can email it to the relatives and then try and take that resized shot to Kmart expecting to be able to print a decent photo from it. If resizing is the last thing that you do, and is only done to the exported file,then you still have the original shot.

Came across a few tourists while I was away who had new digital cameras (with the camera I was carrying and the way I was using it they assumed that i knew what I was doing and would ask for advice) and had set them to take the smallest sized photos possible so that they could fit more on the memory card. The only problem was that they ended up with lots of images that were only good for emailing and would look like %&^$ if they tried to print them. Put your camera on it's best quality setting and buy a bigger card. You'll be grateful when you get that magical, once in a lifetime shot.

It was indeed the POTC sign/fountain at the entrance of the ride.

1. What/where the heck is that?
2.Well, it is a mermaid - but it isn't the Little Mermaid...

It looks like a copper plaque like the one in front of The Haunted Mansion - but it isn't that either.

Given the nautical theme, I'm going to say that it is probably on the wall in Pirates of the Caribbean - but just like the elephant, I've no idea where it is!

and of course I paid that one.

This one is another toughy Lisa. I now understand how you have multiple thousand photos. You've taken photos of things I would never have thought of.

I reckon it is in New Orleans Square, and I also reckon it is somewhere around the Pirates of the Caribbean. So my guess is that it's a wall mounted statue under the stairs leading into the Pirates of the Caribbean.
