We're buying a second tree this week which will be our Disney specific tree. Possibly black, but the colour is still up for negotiation. Our "original" tree is just an old fashioned green Canadian Spruce, 6' tall with ornaments collected over our last 19 xmas'.
2023 Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Lines - Disney Wish. Going to be awesome to be back!

I think this requires photos so I'll get back to you.

Cool idea.... -/

I think everyone needs to submit their christmas trees for perusal. :D

This year, I'm going with the black tree and all the decos are US specific. I'm in the process of turning copious quantities of my 2008 photos (trip/family etc) into decos and am also putting on all the ones I bought OS and anything Disney or Red/White/Blue.

I'm also toying with braving the ladder and putting up some lights on the outside of the house... not quite National Lampoons but somewhere above 'token gesture' ... we'll see.

I'll definitely put a photo of the tree here though... when its done.

Yes Scrooge... its 19 sleeps till the big guy has to put in some serious overtime :D . Surely you must have at least one decoration you could put up to mark the occasion?

I'm finishing all my photo decorations tonight at scrap night and then will finish off the tree. My redneck lights (20 gage shotgun cases  ) will have to go unplugged unless I can get my hands on a converter for the 120V lights that doesn't cost me $100  - so if anyone knows where I can get one cheaper let me know.

My house is all Christmas-ed up now and I am starting on the menu.

I found that I had downloaded lots of recipes from Disney properties so will be incorporating some of them - eg: Breakfast Lasagna (waffles/strawberries/pancakes/etc... yum) and Sticky Mickeys (like cinnabons.... scrumptious -/ )for brunch.

I'm sure you all have your favourite Christmas food... what does everyone else have to eat that it wouldn't be Christmas without?

Sheesh... I'm a total Christmas Junkie. :D

Lisa I didn't tell you about my show and tell at the club dinner. My eldest son Jacob had secretly bought me some Christmas goodies while were away and he gave them to last week. I got a lovely fluffy Mickey dressed in his Santa clothes and a patch on his foot saying 2008 Happy Holidays WDW. He also gave me some accessories for my Dept 56 village. I promise I'll get some photos up soon including the mickey wreath I made for the front door. -/

Wow... thats so cool. :D

I have a little confession to make. The last couple of Christmas's I've had a touch of the Ebenezers and been a bit "Bah phooey" about Christmas but this year I'm finding the magic again thanks to my trip to the US. It makes me grin every time I walk past my tree that is decked out in a humungous number of photos from the trip ( amongst other family photos from 2008) and the decos that I bought in the US ... the memories are magic.

I've even attempted a 'video Christmas card' ( still in the editing stages) that I'm planning on emailing rather than using paper ones.

I'm really looking forward to seeing your photos of your tree and goodies Beth.

Ok... trees finished, photos taken - just have to work out what program on my laptop that I can use to shrink the photos of the tree so I can put them on here. I have to say though, its just not the same without lights... didn't think that was all that wise considering the great majority of the decos are paper. Oh well.... its still purty.

Hmmm...I had better get my act into gear and tell my dad to put up my Christmas tree :D

Then I'll post photos - although there won't be a theme...we are not that creative.

Wish there were some twinkly lights though...

Even the crackers are Disney Princess.

Theres a few gaps yet to fill though... I have decided to do another dozen little photos tonight and fill the spare bits.

My tree is up! I'll have to snap a photo and post it tomorrow. There is no theme but it looks tasteful.
