Hawaii?

Anyone been to Hawaii?
Anything that you consider a 'must do'?

Anything else I should know before booking this cruise?

I have been twice and have no need to go again - but then I am not a lie on the beach and relax person.

A trip to the island of Hawaii is cool, mountain bike riding on Kaui I think - they drop you at the top in a helicopter and you coast down, pearl harbour

I'm probably the worst person to ask about Hawaii! I've only been there once and it was at the end of a month of travelling with two girlfriends. We'd had enough of each other by then and were totally exhausted. The only things I really remember doing were going to the Polynesian Cultural Centre, which was quite interesting, a luau booze-up - which I only vaguely remember and catching a bus to the North Shore to see Waimea Bay. That's about all I remember!

Wait until 2011 and go to the new Disney resort! I've seen a video of the location, no construction work yet, lovely beach!

Maybe if we do a club trip to do the Cruise and then we can take in WDW for the opening of the new Monsters inc ride and the do a stopover in Hawaii to check that new place out in 2011?

Any takers?

WDW for the opening of the new Monsters inc ride as well as the 40th Anniversary, as a Club Trip?

I spoke to Wayne Godfrey this week and in our conversation I asked him this very question. He said to put the question on the website to see what interest there would be.

Della and I are definitely thinking about it, and returning via the Hawaii - it all depends on how the dates align, because we may tie in a cruise on the new Disney ship that launches in the same year (and also the opening of the Radiator Springs Cars ride at DCA!) - 2011 is a huge Disney year and once some of the dates for these events firm up, I think we'll look to arrange a trip - and that may coincide with a club trip.

I mentioned elsewhere that I have been chatting to a Disney travel specialist in the states and they will keep us informed of upcoming cruises (2010+) before they open bookings. I spoke to her about any new cruises as well so I'll keep you posted!
