I had a DVD night seeing as my plans to attend an open air showing of Bolt in a nearby town I was supposed to be going to with friends fell through cos I had to work past the start time (GRRRRRR!).

But I did discover a really great movie... bit blokey in that lots of things got blown up and stuff... it was a war movie called 'Defiance' starring the delectable Daniel Craig. Highly recommend it.

PS: good luck with the website ajp... Is the boar in the logo significant? ( other than what golf does to me :? )

Yes it is sort of. Where we live is pretty well at the foot of a mountain called Razorback Mountain (razorback is a wild pig). Also the PSC in the logo stands for Pig Sh@# County, paying homage to an old piggery near the village which used to emit odours at all times of the day.

Piggery's gone, hence the odour is no more. But I do live in a fair dinkum rural farming area. So piggery and cattle smells are par for the course out here. When the Ag Institute decided to fertilise, it was fantastic. Acres and acres of lovely cow manure smell for weeks on end. Love that fresh country air!

I saw it - and I'm still picking up my jaw. I loved this film - can't wait to discuss!

Sitting in Sydney childrens hospital with jacob. The HSC starts in 2 weeks and we are trying to squeeze in a tune-up for his cystic fibrosis.

Well, the round of Christmas parties begins for me this weekend... the first of the work 'do's' is on this Saturday night when they bus all the Sunny Coast/Brissy staff down to Dreamworld for the afternoon/night... Should be fun...I've worked for this company for a lot of years now and never bothered to make it to the Christmas stuff but when they said it was at Dreamworld... I was in. The rides will be open right? not going to be a happy camper if I get bussed all that way to hear stuffy speeches

From your Facebook post should I assume the rides are closed?

We might have to wait until the hang-over wears off tomorrow to hear this story! You know what happens at work Christmas parties  (well not at any I've been to)

when I phoned the girls at work to check pick up times etc, they told me they didnt' think we'd be allowed near the ride and I was decidedly less than impressed... why would I want to be held captive on a bus for all those hours if not to enjoy some of the rides???
I've gotten varying opinions all day from random folk about the rides being operational ( they should be... we get there late afternoon) but we might be corraled in a 'venue' and not let loose in the park... so if I wake up early enough to get online Sunday morning before having to front up at work - and I don't get hangovers so I'm not worried about that - I'll let you know if I got to ride The Claw or not

I'm just hearing the music from The Great Escape here while imagining Lisa and her fellow workers tunnelling out of the venue and into the park :)
