I had to google him too... hhmmm... I'll hang onto my teen memories I think. However that Blue Lagoon nappy/scungy business was not quite how I remembered things. I think it is now a little disturbing!

yeah, the nappy is suspect... although, when on a desert island with not much to wear, one makes do.

gotta say though, at 46, buff, single and still has hair, he's not too shabby..

You girls sound just like my sister. I remember when that movie came out and all she could do all day was talk about him! I was about 10 years old and kept complaining to my mum and dad saying "can't you make her be quiet about him!" - ahhh, the memories!

Nothing changes Keith. You're still complaining about the "girls" talking about him. Just like I keep complaining to my wife, saying "can you stop them talking about Edward and Jacob?" or whatever their names are.

Oh yeah.... WAAAAAY too young for my tastes but if I were... ehem.... a little younger, that Jacob would definely be acceptable. The whole wolf thing is really cool. Luckily my 15 year old daughter is into Edward so there is never any squabbles.

Well that's a given! But did I mention that after watching all the extras on the DVD a little of the shine has gone off Edward or should I say Rob Patterson. Every time he opened his mouth a little more of the magic died. But I will hold firm with the character from the books (even though he is only 17). Actually Lisa have you seen any of the photos of Jacob in the upcoming movie? His hair is short and he has bulked up - naturally!

Sorry Anthony I'll stop talking about them now!

Another quiet Saturday night. I'll probably break out one of my favourite DVDs - maybe it's a Twilight night!

I have the place to myself tonight thankfully as I need some alone time. I have Jacob in Sydney Children's for his annual 2 week tune-up and Craig and Angus are with him today. I had to head up to one brother in Katoomba hospital this week for an assessment to get him into a nursing home as he has end-stage liver failure and today my sister and I had to decide to have treatment stopped on my mum who has not recovered from a delirium after a knee replacment in May. I have had to contact the family and tell them all to come say their goodbyes. So I have one brother in Byron on hols making is way home and another who has jumped on his motor bike and is on his way from Leeton. While my Dad who also has dementia has been left out of the decision making process. To say life has been tough over the last few months is an understatement. I'm fine but appreciating the time to myself. I am also enjoying re-re-re-reading the Harry Potter books before the movie.

I'm also having a very quiet Saturday night nursing a broken tooth and the associated ache that would bring down a brontosaurus. Abject agony wouldn't be an overstatement. Bring on Monday. oh.... and I HATE dentists. :(

Yes, our thoughts are with you Beth.

I've been off work most of this week with confirmed swine flu (any one else had this yet - it isn't fair, I had the normal influenza virus two months ago - although this doesn't feel quiet as bad).
It all began last Tuesday when I couldn't get out of bed. But the worst thing is you cannot concentrate on anything - I couldn't think, read, or listen for more than a minute at a time. I'm just about over it now - should be back at work tomorrow (despite the fact that I was still vomiting yesterday and had a ripper headache all day...a great Saturday!)

Wow Keith, you are the first person I actually know that's had swine flu. Its bad enough getting flu once but thats seriously not fair getting flu twice in one winter. Sounds like its not a great week for the tribe at the DUD. Hope everyone's feeling better soon.

We are all going to pack! I too had a great dislike of dentists Lisa but there is nothing like the sweet relief that comes from appropriate intervention - good luck!

The school called me saying they had confirmed cases of swine flu as a heads-up for Jacob but it has been Craig and Angus that have been crook (not good for Jacob to get any kind of viral thing) but Angus came back negative and Craig has husband-itis! (No sympathy in my household - I'm all out!) But Keith it is always good to part of the in-crowd!

Thank you for your kind thoughts - watching parents age and leave us is a sad part of life.
