What are you reading?

Postby sandie » Tue Jan 22, 2008 6:28 pm

I just got home from Borders where I spent my $50 gift card from Christmas and I was wondering what the rest of you are reading.

I read Forever Odd yesterday and will be starting Brother Odd later tonight.

Last week I read Rhett Butler's People. Usually I read more than one book a week but Peter and I have been rewatching West Wing from the beginning which we do every few years.

So what are you reading?

So what are you reading?
Right now?
Books - Still wading my way through 'the Golden Compass'.
Magazines - 'Scrapbooks etc', 'Creating Keepsakes', 'National Geo'
Comics - a friend gave me an ancient Donald Duck comic this week so I read one of them for the first time in a long time. (might have to drag the others out now and read them again)

I've just finished Robert Harris' book "Imperium" - a novel set around roman politics (a great read).

Now I'm reading Charlie Ridgeway's "Spinning Disney's World" - it is his autobiography about his 40 years as Disney's chief PR/Press liaison guy. Lots of anecdotes and funny stories.

I am now reading the most awesome series - "The People of the....". Finished Wolf and on to Fire now - I love a series that has 15 books because it will keep me going for a WHILE.

These books are about American pre-history, the ancestors of the American Indian

They sound like a heavy read.

I started reading a trilogy based on the Israel Palestine history once and only got half way through the first.

Well, I'm in Adelaide right now, but the stack of brochures covers a lot of ground.

Not sure where yet. The short list is not all that short. :D

Because I am internet deprived I've been wading through some books and magazines and really enjoying having the time to do so.

I'm currently reading "Twilight" and fighting off my daughter so that she cant get ahead of me and tell me what happens.

Whats everyone else reading.?

I'm reading the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child. The latest was on the '50 best reads' list in the SMH a few weeks back and I liked the style so I'm reading the lot.
