Good morning and Merry Christmas all - I'm up to, but haven't started presents...

...actually I lie - I was at Della's place last night and we had a great present swap session - but I'll let you know the details later - my dad (the biggest kid of all) is waiting to get his stuff...I've gotta go.

Check in later!

:D

p.s. Greg also says Merry Christmas to all from somewhere in the Caribbean!

"Mum and Dad" didn't get too much, clothes etc (we didn't spend much as we're trying to plan another trip). The kids got a phone each, a Disney phone ordered from Hong Kong. They are so cool, they are having so much fun with them, I think Mum and Dad may get one later. Will check back later once we've done the familys things.

Yes Lisa, I reckon you're right on that one! I eventually had to put on a xmas CD (Bing Crosby, classic), turned up the volume and that got them out of bed!

I got the best present ever. Only a tiny bit early.

I didn't have to go shopping to get it.
I didn't have to pay for it.
I didn't have to find a hiding place for it.
I didn't have to unwrap it.
Its highly likely to cost me a lot of money in the future though.....

I got a nephew for Christmas late yesterday.

so if I get nothing else I'll still be ecstatic. -/ -/ -/

(and if I could figure out how to put a picture of little Reuben in the text, you'd be seeing that as well)
I eventually had to put on a xmas CD, turned up the volume and that got them out of bed!
Yeah, I had to drag my kids out of bed and haul their heathen butts off to church....

'Tis the season to be birthing then. My new niece (my Brother's child) was born early this morning. Niahm Meg (Niahm is pronounced Neve, mother is Irish).

Niahm Meg (Niahm is pronounced Neve, mother is Irish).

I have a cousin called Nyeve which is irish too and pronounced Neve!!

Which is funny as her Mum is Italian like the rest of my family and her Dad is Scottish! All my cousins have unusual (read weird) names and its a bugger when writing cards as I know i will always get someone wrong!

Thats an interesting way to spell that name. One of my best friends daughter is called Neve but they just spell it ... Neve. :) (and yes, Irish heritage involved )

Oh and Congrats Uncle Anthony... :)

How remiss of us - Congratulations also to you Aunty Lisa!

I was still trying to come to grips with dragging the kids to church on christmas morning. For a minute there I had this silly thought, that it was a religious day or something ... :?

I, on the other hand, once my own children's festivities had completed, jumped into a car with 2 other guys (1 dressed as Santa) and drove the streets of Menangle giving gifts and lollies to the local kiddies! It is so much fun and so rewarding!

I forgot to mention what I got for Christmas :)

Lots and lots :)

Dad got me a GPS navigator for the car (which I needed to get to Epping for the NYE party!) - the irony of it was that I got one for dad as well - so now we have two :D

DVDs I got included : Harry Potter 5 ; Spiderman 3 ; PoTC3 ; The Jungle Book ; Die Hard 4 ; Transformers ; Flushed Away etc etc...

I got the Mary Blair illustrated Cinderella book, some CDs including Enchanted, and some clothes off my sister and some other stuff - all in all a good selection of loot :)
