Sandie, was that question for me?

( and yes Greg, we know you are going there soon... you are one lucky duck)

If so, then the answer to that would be yes, this year sometime IF IT KILLS ME!!!!!!. Stuff at work is pretty hideous right now, and I'm just not game to rock anyones boat and ask for holidays ( seeing as the last lot I asked for got cancelled - while I was on them  ) . I REAAAAALLLY wanted to go for Chinese NY, but, am in the process of finding a new place ( without a garden  and with a pool -/ ) and then we move. Too much going on to get there in the early part of the year.

BUT.... the upside of the whole saga is, I am still planning to go there this year, and probably for a little longer and explore a little further than orginally thought.

just a quick question since I found out there are no pins at Tokyo... whats the pin situation like in HKDL? I loved the pins in Anaheim and can't imagine going to a park without getting a pin or seven now....

Last time I was there, pins and pin trading was just beginning to take off. Now I understand they actually have a special annual pin trading event each year around Easter - so I don't think you'll have any problems!

Tokyo Disney Resort is the only resort to suspend trading (you can still purchase pins there - although as Greg mentioned, the selection is much smaller than other parks).

Phew... thanks Keith.... thats a relief.

I was amazed how much I got 'into' the pin thing when I was in Anaheim.

I'll let you know in a day or two.

The reason I wanted one in Tokyo was to get a set. The only pins I have are ones with the park logos on them. 4 each for WDW and one for HK so far. I have them in a box frame and wanted to add a pin for each park I made it to.

Thanks Greg, I'd appreciate that.

Wow, one in each park... that is restrained... I bought two lanyards in Anaheim and filled them both.

Have fun in HKDL...

There are more pins available than there were in Tokyo but still not to the extent that there is (or was when i was last there) in the States.

A couple of shops had pin displays and there was a pin trading stand that was shut.

A lot of cast members had lanyards and pins though.

I got a Hong Kong Disneyland one because can't remember if I have one already or not.

Thanks Greg, Its interesting there isn't the broad range in Asia as there is in the US... At least I know I'll still be able to buy them there... I have no intention of trading them anyway.

doesn't matter if you do already have one... no such thing as too many. :D

Just a couple more quick questions...

Any recommendations for places to stay in Kowloon? as I'll be traveling alone am keen to find somewhere not too far from public transport and not too far off the beaten track and wondered if anyone had suggestions. I'll be staying at the Disney property for a few days while I am out that way but am planning a few days in Kowloon as well before heading over to the mainland.

Does anyone know a good tailor? I want to have some traditional clothing made and wondered if anyone had anyone they trust to do a good job? Will probably have to organise this while I am in HK cos there won't be much down time in China.

Has anyone done the 'wonderfish' spa thing at the Galleria at the Peak? sounds amazing and am considering it,

Ta.. :D
