Big Expansion for Walt Disney Studios Paris

Postby KeithS » Wed Feb 28, 2018 8:58 pm

Bob Iger and the French President jointly announced a major expansion to Walt Disney Studios Paris today.

The expansion will see it add the Star Wars Land, Arendelle from Frozen, and new Marvel attractions beginning with a re-theming of Rockin' Roller Coaster to an Iron Man theme.

Arendelle would be interesting and probably has a lot of potential.

I'd enjoy Arendelle, hopefully if there's a ride it's built to my level.  All the parks are gradually getting Star Wars and while it's not really my thing, I'm still looking forward to those new lands in the US.  I do like when the parks have a few points of difference though, so hopefully they don't copy too much which works in one park to the others.  Then again, I'm sure I'd go anyway.

Della and I are leaning towards going to Paris next year - it has been a long time since we last visited and we'd like to spend time with my relatives in the UK too.  Early days yet, but it is a possibility.  Of course, none of this new stuff will be around!

I say go for it. If you put off the opportunity while you wait for new stuff you'll never go.

Hearing of the changes coming up makes me want to go back to Paris and really see it (I've only 2 daytrips there which is near impossible to actually experience it all).  I'm so glad I took time to stroll through DCA's Bugs Land and take photos in January last year.

Oh sorry, a day trip to Paris Disney (from Paris).  In 2001 there was only one park, however in 2014 we did both parks in a day.  I did see the parade and night castle show/fireworks, but need more time to stroll and take it all in.
If only I could be a day trip away from Paris.

Ahhh, ok I understand. I thought you may have been in the UK or something. I keep hearing from Europeans how they can just pop into another country to do their grocery shopping or something which has always struck me as a really cool thing. Kind of inconceivable to someone living in Australia though.
