The Oriental Land Company and Disney today announced that StormRider at Tokyo Disneysea will be closing for good next year!
It will be replaced by a new ride in the same motion theatre based on Finding Nemo/Finding Dory.
Whilst I am happy to see new attractions, it is a bit of a shame to see an attraction that isn't linked to a Disney movie close. That said, StormRider was a bit preachy on the environmental side and you can't have too much Dory can you

From the concept art, the interior of the theatre looks unchanged, so I'm guessing it will be a reworking of the preshow area, a new movie and effects, and cosmetic interior changes. It is scheduled to open in 2017 in time for the release of Finding Dory.
