Who has stayed at the Mira Costa?

Postby Mel » Thu Jan 07, 2010 8:30 am

I'm trying very hard to convince Craig that it's worth paying more than double our per night rate at the Hilton to spend our last night at the Mira Costa! I'm even thinking we could get a 'partial view' room on the Peurto Paridiso side since they are the same rate as the Tuscany rooms and from what I've read the 'partial view' isn't much of an obstruction. So.... I need your help to convince my husband that we really should experience the Mira Costa for at least one night. This trip was supposed to be a really low cost trip, but if we're lugging the boys all the way to Tokyo, we might as well enjoy ourselves! Besides, we saved so much on the airfares :)

Help me!

Tell him you are saving money by not going to Venice because it looks exactly like a Venetian hotel.

I had no idea it was a real hotel until after I'd been in the park for a while and was looking at the map. If you can manage it then do it.

Okay, not great arguments. How about, he would make a whole bunch of people really jealous?

That works for me!

Nicole and Matt from our club just recently spent two nights there in a partially obstructed view and they really loved it. I say go for it!

Only stayed there for one night in December, but it was one of the finest nights of the trip! Service was impeccable, the facilities were amazing and the staff were very friendly. As you would expect from Disney, natch!

The best part, of course, was the early entry to the parks. Mira Costa guests get an exclusive early entry into DisneySea, as I understand it. This extra 15 minutes was all the difference in getting on Indy first, and riding it again!

We've booked in!!!!! -/ -/ -/ Partial view room on May 25th! Craig has completely come around to my way of thinking. He asked yesterday if I'd booked in yet and when I said that I hadn't, he said that we might as well do it as we may not make it back to Tokyo. Woohoo!!! Mira Costa, here we come!

I am too Anthony and I'm converting my husband to think that way too. We've worked so hard to get ourselves into a stable financial situation, I think we deserve a bit of a splurge :) He agrees! Now I have to work on convincing him that we need a Disney cruise on our 2014 Disneyland/WDW trip :)

Don't worry about that, I'll forbid anybody from using them so I can take them home! :)

The sleepers are free too and not making any promises but if you slip the lady cleaning the room you may come home with a couple of towels, face washers, pjs and a bath robe as well!
