Two New Attractions for Tokyo

Postby KeithS » Fri May 08, 2009 7:43 pm

The Oriental Land Company announced two new attractions for 2012.

Tokyo Disneyland will be getting a Cinderella Castle walkthrough - an attraction similar to the Sleeping Beauty Castle walkthrough that reopened last year in Anaheim.

Tokyo Disneysea will be getting Toy Story Mania - it will be built in the New York Harbor area.

Tokyo Disneysea have announced that Toy Story Mania will open on 9 July 2012 (just in case anyone - Gerard? - was thinking of heading over there next year).

I'm constantly 'thinking' of heading there, but unfortunately it's not going to happen :( Only in my dreams.

I'm curious to see how the theming will fit in in that area. It's not far from ToT if my (morning sickness addled) memory is correct.

Yep - you are spot on. I've been wondering the same thing. There have been a few photos on the web, but the construction walls hide the detail.

I have to admit I was pretty impressed with how they fitted the Turtle Talk with Crush into the Colombia ship theme - that was brilliant.
