Postby WayneG » Thu Dec 28, 2006 9:59 am

On Friday 27th January 2007 future projects will be announced. Do any of our readers know more. The only ones I currently know about are:-

Expansion to Animal Kingdom Lodge - Vacation Club
Expansion to the Contemporary Resort - not confirmed

There is a lot of chatter about a huge rehab for the Haunted Mansion - in fact I bet its closed whilst I am visiting.

Heres a tip - an overlay for the WDW Tower of Terror in time for its 13th Birthday in July!

It ended up being a pretty underwhelming press weekend as far as new developments/announcements were concerned.

Apart from the new celebrity advertising campaign (which I actually like) there was nothing major that hadn't been discussed in fan-sites for the last few months. Pirate Island in Disneyland, and Toy Story Mania in WDW and DCA were the highlights, but these were well known to us. No new lands (where's our Beastly Kingdom!), or new parks in other countries.

I'm also waiting for the launch of the new Disney.com - it is meant to come in January, so that leaves us 2 days! This is something I'm looking forward to exploring - of course, you had better have a good broadband connection!

I really like the photos too - does anyone know if they will be available to purchase?

Oh Sandie, Sandie, Sandie...

The WDW announced today that the HM is closing from June 6 until September 12. So I guess your prediction has come true :(

Strange that it is going down over those months as they are peak periods.

Even worse we leave on the 12th so I miss it by only 1 day!!!!!!

I only hope the new HM shop is open before we fly home - at least I could spend some time getting over my dissapointment with retail therapy!
