Down Under Disneyana Australian Disney Forum

Over the past few years I have collected information on Disneyworld and saved them in my Disney Trivia section. Last week there were more photos posted on the Disney Blog and I collected these as well.

Fortunately with the internet there is plenty of information to be found, but I have found very little on the Boardwalk Resort construction and this is the resort I have a vested interest in.

Thought I would post my collection on the Epcot construction and more so because it covers the era before the Boardwalk and Yacht and Beach Resorts were built. It appears as if Crescent Lake that the three resorts surround was man made.

Photo shows the International Gateway canal with only the one bridge near the French pavilion, there was a second bridge built at some time connecting near the English section.

The canal would have been extended to the Epcot Resort area and to connect to Crescent Lake.

The canal at the top of the photo is the one that goes under the Beach Club DVC section

I have included a photo from Google Earth of the Beach Club over the same canal

The bridge on the canal is World Drive leading to Magic Kingdom.

You can see the grassed land in the centre where the International Gateway canal was connected to the extra bridge near the English pavilion.
