Oh, that is good news ajp... I had been told that the days were seriously long, and that had been the only reason I had balked at applying before.  I'd love to ask Jess  some questions about her time at the World if she didn't mind, as its something I'm still considering.  I don't have a lot of my degree left to do, and am taking a break from study this next semester ( and possibly/likely the one after ) and really hadn't decided on a direction when I finish, so Disney is still on my list :)
What are you studying exactly?

I had an ex who I talked into doing it some years ago and she was just studying holistic therapy, or some such thing,  at some semi dodgy place.

She was really impressed by the professionalism and level of customer service. That would be a hard thing for me to get my head around after having worked in so many places where customers are just there to be screwed out of as much money as possible.

She did bring me back all sorts of cast exclusive stuff which is stored safely (I hope) in my garage.

I'm pretty sure Disney are experts at teaching you how to get people to part with their money in a magical way.

I'm sure she wouldn't mind at all. She loves any chance to talk about it.

I should update and mention Jess' application was denied. I did some reading and feel it may have been due to J1 visa restrictions, i.e., too close to the previous one.  Very disappointed, but also very determined to achieve her ultimate goal and work either at Disney, at DCL or on another cruise ship.

That is a shame - she should start applying for the Green Card lottery (if she hasn't already done so).

I tried the green card lottery a few times, just so I could get a Disney job. Anyone know anyone who actually got one?

One of the girls in my office (and her husband) got one, so it does really happen.  She's the only one I know of though.

I'll have to keep trying then.
