Well, everything's ready to go. Visa is locked in, all the paperwork for Disney is complete, room and building preferences have been made, even booked the Magic Express from the airport to hotel when she gets there. In 2 weeks and 2 days she'll be on her way on a magical 6 month journey that will live with her for the rest of her life.

Jess checked into her housing yesterday so she's all settled. I've been told what the plans are for this week, but there were so many, I can't remember, but I do know they have a full week planned for the new arrivals.

Glad she got settled in quickly - this will be a great adventure.

Haha, of only it was a tease, I honestly couldn't remember. But yesterday they had an orientation, today she has a documentation appointment at 2:30pm. Friday in the afternoon I'm sure she has traditions, which no doubt I'll find out more about later.

You can tack onto Friday an hour tour of the staff access at Magic Kingdom as well. I assuming they'll get to see the tunnels, now that's exciting.

Awesome - and she'll see a lot more of them than we ever got to on the public tour! Not sure I'd want to see a headless Mickey though - that might be a little disturbing...

PS - Anthony, I laughed out loud at Ros's comment on Jess's Facebook page "Make your bed please" - Mums will be Mums!!!

PS - Anthony, I laughed out loud at Ros's comment on Jess's Facebook page "Make your bed please" - Mums will be Mums!!!
 yeah we had a laugh about that this morning, but then Ros noticed the bed of her roommate and figured at least Jess made a half effort. I took a photo of her room how she left it and sent it to her, and we think we'll leave it like it is until she gets home. Her bed wasn't made, she has left jewelry boxes and packaging all over it. Of course she protested!

She found out this afternoon (their time) where she will be working .....[drumroll]

She will be working on the Phineas and Ferb attraction, activity, whatever you would call it, at Epcot. She's happy with that, I remember our girls did it when it was Kim Possible and enjoyed it so much they had 3 goes at it! I think it'll be great because it's one of those jobs when the guest interaction is more personal and they can spend longer with people and have a chat with them. Downside is spending so long in the heat and the extremes that Florida can deliver. Upside is, she has been told that these cast members do the opening and/or closing at Epcot and also help out at the handicap viewing section for Illuminations. How much of that extra stuff she gets to do we don't know yet, but it's great to be doing what she is and whatever comes after that is a bonus!

That's great news Anthony! I was worried that she might end up like lots of my friends when we were there. Lots worked in the fast food restraunts like restrauntosaurus in animal kingdom and pinochios kitchen in fantasyland flipping burgers!! The worst was my friend who worked at the food court at all star sports:-( I was so grateful to be in a theme park!!! Speaking to the guests is the best part.

How did she love traditions??? It was my favorite part!

Where is Jess staying? Chattan manor??? ( that I where I was).

Lol wait till she gets to property control! ( the cast member only merchandise discount shop!!!) I visited there frequently!!!!!!!

I have so many wonderful memories of
My time there and still have my roommates as my best friends!

I am so happy for her!!!
I have no holidays planned to disney for a while....how depressing...i will just have to live through all your adventures!
