Disney Cruise

Postby churros » Sat Jan 05, 2008 6:02 pm

Has anyone done a Disney Cruise? My sister and I plus my 2 boys have booked for September this year :D (What a Happy New Year - now I can say this year instead of next year!) and I'd love to ask some questions if anyone has the answers!

Just stumbled across this Disney cruise info site on a scrapping forum and was amazed. There couldn't be a question you could ask that this couple couldn't tell you I don't think.

It has navigators to read, stateroom secrets, hidden mickey challenges, the spa schedule
( OHHH LORDY.... let me at that spa -/ , and the gym for that matter )
, photos of pretty much anything you might be wondering about, menu's & wine lists, shows and internet access and heaps and heaps more.

Hope it helps.

So which ship are you booked on?
We have booked on the 4 day Disney Wonder which includes a day at Nassau, a day at Disney's own island Castaway Cay and one day at sea. From everything I hear about Nassau, after a quick look round we will be spending the day on the ship - which I am not sorry about in the slightest. I also suspect that I won't see my kids for the whole 4 days!!! Everything about the cruise sounds fantastic - I still don't quite believe I am going!

Of course the cruise is sandwiched in the middle of 2 weeks at WDW and a couple days at at Cocoa beach to visit NASA and because we have a stop over on the way home in LA and Anaheim's only an hour down the road we have stretched to 3 nights at Disneyland.

So am I counting down? :D

Nope - but this weekend Della and I begin filming the prologue of our World Tour of Tokyo Disneyland video :)

You saw our big World Tour video from 2006, this time we are putting together a little comedy sequence that is going before the credits :) You'll just have to wait for the theme meeting later in the year to see it (now you have no excuse not to come down to Sydney - hehe)

I found another great sight for the cruise and everything else Disney - The DIS Discussion Forums

http://www.disboards.com/index.php

Each cruise has a thread so you can chat with other people who are going on the same cruise and plan to meet up.

They are all talking about this thing called a fish-extender. Apparently each stateroom has a fish attached to the outside so the the DCL can leave you messages. Some cruisers make there own hanger with pockets and then everyone leaves each other notes and surprises. Now I just have to make one and think of small gifts to take and place in other fish-extenders! Any suggestions?
