Thanks for another great blog update Anthony. I was geeking out at your Nasa photographs :D I'm a kid of the Skylab/Space Shuttle age too :)

Your Reflections blog post was a really good retrospective look back on the Orlando portion of your trip.

And as for the cruise photos - they just make me want to go even more!

Well, Anthony, Ros, Jess and Emily will be at the airport now - getting ready to return home.

Thanks guys for all the great updates, blog reports, advice and photos from your awesome trip. I know I logged on each day hoping for an update, and I'm sure others here did the same. It has been fun enjoying your trip from the moment you booked to the time you hit the road and took us along for the ride. Your updates from Universal, WDW, the Cruise, NASA, San Francisco, the snow drive, LA and Disneyland were all followed with excitement (and a little envy!)

Thanks again (and once you get home and settled, you'll have to update us on the loot!)

yep... what Keith said -/

Thanks ajp and family for allowing us all to be part of it... it takes a huge amount of time to keep updating while you are on the go and we all have enjoyed the ride.

Well thanks everyone, is was a pleasure to do so. I enjoyed doing it and it also will help us with some of our recollection as well. We are now home, arrived home this morning on the A380. We're buggered as you could imagine so it'll be a slow day. It rained on Tuesday in LA so our last day was very slow as we just strolled through the park, having gumbo for lunch, riding Mansion and just taking it in. We bought heaps more on Tuesday as well so we had to do a last minute bag pack as well, but all was well and we fit everything in comfortably to our 9 bags (4 more than we took over) + 2 cabin bags (1 more than we took over). Am hoping (planning) to make the meeting so will be looking forward in catching up then as well.

Welcome home! I haven't read the last couple of trip updates, I just haven't had much time lately, but I will get around to them soon.

BTW, Craig wanted to thank you for bringing all the rain home with you, our lawn desperately needed a drink :)

That's funny as I was thinking exactly the same thing (although I was cursing Anthony, not thanking him!) :D

Funny story connected with taking weather. We were stopped at a small town outside of San Francisco on our way to Yosemite, and we were in a grocery store buying some supplies and lunch. We were talking to the lady making our sandwiches and got to the usual conversation "where you from, how long have you been here" etc. Well after we got past the "Australian, quite some time" and we're we've been part, we were saying that the poor weather was following us on our holiday and having a bit of a chuckle and light hearted banter. At the same time on the radio in the shop was playing Crowded House (Australian connection - sorta) singing Take the Weather with you. The timing could not have been more perfect and it was something that we laughed about.

The blogs wrapped up. I've also loaded a handful of DL photos as well. Not many though it was hard to choose. You will note some photos taken from our room of the work happening in DCA. When we were there they were starting to lift the roof to the swings, and I note since then it's pretty well up. Also the World of Color is all but done, lots of guns, pipes etc. The Mermaid area is all but flattened and the excavation started, and Cars Land excavation is well on the way too. There is no photos, but Hollywood Studios part is all walled down the middle of the road and the tracks being laid for the trolley. Apparently this is well on the way.

Great finish to the blog ajp.... loved all the details in the photos too... I was shocked by all the construction - I knew it was going on, just wasn't prepared for the visual... I'm looking foward to my next visit ( one day) to see all the changes finished.
