So, what was John Lasseter doing in Sydney on Thursday?

Yep, the creative director of Pixar studios, Walt Disney Imagineering, Director of Cars etc etc was in town. Sure, he was talking to a couple of newspapers about Cars, but I can't imagine that would be his sole purpose for visiting - Cars is still a couple of months away and is not on the general public's radar yet. There is not even much in the way of merchandise in the shops (except a couple of lunch boxes). It seems a little early to fly the head of the studio out to Australia for a short newspaper article...

He didn't even come out when Finding Nemo was being launched - and that was set in Sydney!

(He could have at least visited me in my City office, we could have grabbed a bite to eat and discussed the future of the Company!)

This man is a BIG player - I'm thinking back to those rumours of a few months ago of Disney scouting locations for new Parks - JL is the sort of person that could sway Governments with his passion for the Parks...

Let the wild rumour and speculation begin (errr...well I've begun it - let everyone else carry on!)
