Defunctland documentaries on youtube

I wasn't too sure where to put this post because it kind of fits under a few headings so I ended up putting it here under a more general discussion.

Has anyone else come across Defunctland on youtube?

If you haven't then I highly recommend checking it out. Lots of really good documentaries made by a guy who, even if he doesn't consider himself one, is a real documentarian.

There are a number of documentaries on a range of pop culture topics but at least half seem to be Disney focused. His latest one on the Disney Channel theme is fantastic and the one on fastpass had me fascinated throughout. The topics may not sound too interesting but you won't be disappointed.

Hi Greg (sorry I've been offline - I had COVID over new year and just never got back to looking at our website afterwards!)

Yes, I've watched Defunctland on youtube - he also had a website at one time that I really enjoyed but I haven't visited that in a while - I think that it eventually merged with one of the Disney fan websites. He was good at keeping an archive of old attractions.

Well worth checking out his youtube channel if you haven't looked in a while. There seems to be a constant, if slow, stream of new stuff but I'll forgive him the slowness considering the quality.

Sounds interesting, I'll have to look this up. Now that I don't have a trip to plan I'll be looking for a distraction from housework and living in the real world

It's worth the effort, even if the titles don't make it sound too interesting.
