The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting today that Disney Enterprises Inc. has registered the Australian trademark for Disney+ which could indicate they are planning to launch the streaming service here in Australia.
Disney's streaming deal with Stan was only a short-term engagement and as we discussed earlier on the Stan thread, it looks like it was a test to see how many new subscribers Disney could attract and whether it would be viable to launch Disney+ here. Well it looks like we might have our answer and Disney+ will be on its way here next year.

So far I've avoided signing up for any streaming service other than what comes with my Foxtel box - but I have to say that I'm tempted if the catalogue is as big as the US version and we get the new Star Wars TV series too! Disney should just start direct-debiting my pay I reckon...
