Is anyone collecting the Disney Minifigures?

We picked up four packets today, luckily no doubles! If anyone is collecting (18 to collect, blind bags) and wants to trade doubles, maybe we can organise a swap at the next meeting? Just a thought!

I am ... I picked up a few bags today... now I have Hook, Peter Pan, Cheshire Cat, Ursula, Alien, Aladdin and Daisy x2.  Despite my best efforts of using what I was assured a 'fool proof' system of dots on the bottoms of the bags to identify their contents, not a single one coincided with the dots and I ended up with literally the opposite of what I was searching for   I'm thinking the dots were from the US packaging and not relevant here, so back to squeezing the bags I go.
Swaps with me would be tricky though... I'm in SA.  Love to hear what others have managed to find though.

I have a friend who is just going to buy an entire box and be done with it to ensure they get the whole set... however, this is way out of my budget.  I'm hoping they last a while in the shops to allow me to pick up a few here and there. 

they are very cool, just get them in toy shops?

I bought mine in Myer Brizmarc, but I believe Target are to be the major distributor, and possibly available at Kmart also... I imagine anywhere they have a significant LEGO presence you would find them though... T R' Us also stock them as well in the US, so might be worth looking there too. 
I would imagine Toyworld as well perhaps?

We collected the Simpsons minifigures and the dot system was specific to the US. From what I know, they're usually region specific so someone would need to know what region we've been sent and then figure out corresponding dots......no thanks! We just feel the bags and hope for the best. We've got ours from Kmart. One store had heaps, another we just dropped into today and only 4 were left.

Syndrome

No doubles yet, but bound to happen. There are no rare figures so one box will have 3 complete sets with a few extra. We're happy to swap when we get doubles and post Trust system LOL

We have 2 doubles, Daisy and Peter Pan so far. If anyone has doubles they'd like to swap or we can sell for $5 (RRP). I guess they'll end up on EBay if not many club members are collecting.

They're getting hard to find in store. We haven't found any Target or BigW selling them here. Only Kmart and an independent toy store. A lady today bought a whole sealed box while we were waiting at the counter today!

Lucky you!! I'm trying to feel the bags best I can but you start doubting yourself after a while. Plus you look crazy standing there feeling bags LOL

Instead, we've been buying the Squishy Tsum Tsums from Target (we've got a stack of them!)

Of course, now that we are collecting the Tsum Tsum squishies, I hardly want to set Della off on another collection!

I am also collecting the stackable three different sizes series one and 2 from the U.S. And the tsum tsum mystery stackable aseries 1 and 2 they are adorable!! Just ordered a lot from hot topic!!

The Lego figures are really cool. Even just to display! Kmart is the only place we've found them and the Toy store near Aldi in Penrith Plaza.

Jess - we have a bunch of Squishy Tsum Tsum doubles, so I'll make sure we bring them in to the next meeting.  Have you had much success with getting the rares?  The only one we've found was Jessie from Toy Story 2.  The only non-rare we are missing from the general packaging is Scrump (while Mickey and Alice isn't classed a rare, we didn't want to buy the whole playset thingy just to get them...)

Well, I've been fortunate ( because my package squeezing accuracy is woeful) and I only have a few to get now and I have the set.  I've purchased 17 and got 4 doubles. 
I still need : Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Genie and Syndrome.

I doubled up on Hook, Aladdin, Daisy and Alice.  Despite reading there are no rare ones, Hook and Daisy are popping up on everyone's doubles lists which is interesting. 

I'm going on a hunt tomorrow for them. Matthew got me 4 from HobbyCo in QVB on Monday, and I went to 9 stores on my way home and couldn't find a trace of any! I gave up since then.
I'd be happy to trade any doubles I end up getting too

Baulkham hills toy shop has heaps!
