Karen, how close are you to the Gold Coast? There is a new lego store at Dreamworld now. It's accessible from outside the park so you don't have to pay to go in. They may have some or some info since they claim to the only "lego certified store in Australia".

I know I'm late to this board and not sure if anyone is still watching it, however a friend of mine still needs Aladdin and Buzz. Can anyone help me? I'm not sure what she's prepared to pay, however if you have either of these to sell please let me know.

Did you get your Aladdin?

My friend still doesn't have either of these, do you know where she can get them/one?

So series 2 of the Lego Minifigs is on the way - let us know when you start seeing them in the stores.  They are released overseas from 1 May so hopefully we'll see them here around then too.

I did so well in the first set, just buying 4, then limited myself to 4 of the Harry Potter ones, now however I am hoping to get at least 8 of the next set.  Time to get ready to stand in Target going through the box of little bags finding my favourites.

I got all of them except for Alice last time.  It took a bit of swapping and buying at the club but it was a fun collection.  I'm looking forward to doing it all again - although it doesn't change my opinion on blind bags - they really are for suckers (like me).

I agree about blind bags.  I'd spend more money if I could see what I was buying as I'd just get the whole set rather than just a few favourites. I've done relatively well in the past by feeling the bags but they're clever to ensure that a couple of characters feel the same (oh sorry, I'm sure that's completely accidental).
A friend of mine has offered to swap or sell on a Facebook mini-figs page for me if I can't swap elsewhere.  I've tried to avoid getting into Lego, however that Steamboat Willie set looks great also.

The series 2 minifigs are out in stores now.  Jess sent me some photos of the ones she found in Big-W.

In other news, it is my birthday today and Della got me the Steamboat Willie Lego set which includes the Mickey and Minnie black and white minifig - yay!

Happy Birthday Keith!  I look forward to the build photos and finished product.  I love seeing what others build, but not sure I have the attention span myself. I do love that particular kit though so will be great to see yours and hear how you go building.
I've yet to find the minifigs, the box at my local was empty and another store had no box or even space for one.  I'm sure they'll restock pretty quick though.

We haven't found the minifigs either, but Jess found another stash of them yesterday in Kmart.  Della has looked all over Hurstville but no luck so far.  We will take a look at Target in Roselands tomorrow night.

I can't wait to start building the Steamboat :)

Well I got the 7 I wanted (B&W M&M, chipmunks, nephews) with the first few by feeling bags and the last few after having a list from Facebook of the box order (which a couple of others confirmed).  Thankfully the next shop I went to had a tidy and full-looking box so I counted to the ones I wanted and felt the bags as I couldn't know if any or which were sold.  Due to it being easier to find them I weekend and got Jasmine and Scrooge so have 9 which is more than enough for me.  I say that now, but a friend is holding 4 of her spares for me (Frozen & Incredibles) as I was tempted when she told me what she had spare.

I've been stuck at home for a week with the flu, so Della went to the shops by herself (and without the box map).  So we have a duplicate of Frozone and Jafar if anyone needs them :)  I'll bring them to the meeting in a couple of weeks.

I've started on Steamboat Willie (Karen, I'll send you progress photos!)  It only consists of three construction phases though, so I'm taking it slow :)
