A New Study Says Playing Disney Princesses Is Bad for Kids

This article really annoyed me.....especially being a mother of 2 girls. This discussion has been around for such a long time, it's hardly new. I don't have a problem with princesses. And I don't think they're looking at the more modern Disney princesses either.

It kind of annoys me too. It seems to be taking the role of the parent completely out of the equation and saying that you become the toys you play with. I can say with some certainty that I have not become a gun and sword toting secret agent/cowboy /policeman/superhero. 

As the mother of two girls are you going to be encouraging them to reach their full potential or telling them that they better start brushing up on their cooking and sewing skills?

Charlotte (2 1/2 yrs) has been wrapping Audrey's blankets around herself and saying "princess" lately...so excuse me, I'm off to get princess dress ups
