I put this in the Disney news section because it's quite relevant, with Apple and Disney now using their significant partnership beyond the Pixar realm.

The release of the new iPhone 6 with IOS8 has a new Apple pay facility. One of the key points in the release was that WDW and Disney stores will be accepting this as a payment option. "The happiest place on earth now becomes happier" was the tag line.

Apple have released a new watch, and among the many thousands of things it can do is the ability to customize the home screen. Of the options, they showcased the watch to look like the traditional Mickey Mouse watch, with Mickey's arms as the watch hands, in addition to the image of Mickey being animated. It looked so cool!

I'm not convinced the watch shows enough application for me to want to spend $350 on one. I can see the reasoning behind getting an iPad, but I still see a watch as a watch.

What I want and what I get are poles apart Keith, and I agree, I cannot see $350US value in it - yet, but I just thought the use of the MM icon was clever, and cool.

Yes - that is clever. You could effectively have a different watch every day of the week with the ability to download new skins. I'm interested to learn about what else it might be capable of but I don't think I'd ever get one.

I like the watch idea, and my first glimpse of the MM version was on one of the people I follow on instagram - who apparently is the wife of one of the guys who was working on the watch idea at Apple - who knew? Anyhoo, they are HUGE Disney fans ( which is why I follow them).
