Is the Soarin replacement well under way?

Have a look at this video and say what you reckon. It is very similar to Soarin and even appears to use some Soarin footage. There is what appears to be Asian language so perhaps it is being tested in Japan or Honkers. I know I am wildly speculating, but check it yourself.

that is VERY much like Soarin' and can certainly imagine seeing it from the same type of ride.

Perhaps for one of the Chinese parks?

Not sure CGI is an issue. Soarin as it is now is not a true piece of cinematic mastery, it's heavy with CGI. CGI adds the magic to what the experience is.

I liked it. It had a Disney feel, although I wish I could have shot down that bi-plane that kept popping up (just give us the visuals and the music!) - I'd also cut the CGI Golden Gate at the end.

I doubt it is Disney though - they never display stuff like this prior to unveiling on an attraction - but the concept is good!
