According to QI, Disney has the 4th biggest navy in the world when based on the number of boats in their fleet only.

Let's count them:
Jungle cruise
Columbia
Mark Twain
Small World
River rafts
Canoes
Splash mountain
Various boats at WDW - can't recall the name of the body of water

It's not just the ferries and other boats in Seven Seas Lagoon at WDW either. You have the boats and ferries at the resorts and Epcot as well.

As an aside, I LOVE QI :)

QI is a tv show hosted by Stephen Fry. QI stands for Quite Interesting and it's sort of a comedy quiz panel, but different than any other show :)

QI is hilarious - I love it when I get to see it. Great for trivia buffs :)

I think Walt Disney's original quote in relation to this topic however was that he had the fourth biggest submarine fleet in the world, rather than navy (this was in relation to the subs at Disneyland alone). I'm sure we can Google it (I'm not sure if he ever actually said that or whether it was urban legend).
