Dream Portraits Return

After a couple of years break, Disney has released another batch of the Annie Leibowitz dream portraits.

I can't find our original thread for this, so I'm starting afresh (must have been on our old website prior to the hack attack!)

I haven't heard of the first 2 people. The beauty and the beast one is not so exciting but I do like Ursula

Ok, well, I am undecided about the Evil Queen one, really don't like the B & B one ( um.... did they forget its set in France? Penelope Cruz is beautiful, but not what I imagine Belle to look like, but passable. BUT....Jeff Bridges??? OMG... what were they thinking? two thumbs down for that choice) Queen Latifa on the other hand, rocks Ursula.

Penelope Cruz is beautiful

It is funny how we look at these images differently - normally I can't stand Cruz - I just don't rate her, but I think she looks good as Belle. Jeff Bridges - I dunno, I think these portraits are designed to spark debate (we are talking about them anyway!) which then puts Disney into everyone's thoughts (and sells Disney products!) - so to that end, I think it works.

Queen Latifa on the other hand, rocks Ursula.

Yep - Queen Latifah totally rocks!

I also like the Evil Queen image - I think that nails how I would imagine a live action view of that scene!

two great shots...
the first one is INSPIRED with Russell Brand as Capt'n Hook and the other, the 3 hitchhiking ghosts from the Haunted Mansion with Jack Black, Will Ferrell and Jason Segal is also pretty good.

how funny is that... initially, that was my first thought as well, probably because she is EVERYWHERE right now, in every magazine you are reading about yet another of her relationship break ups. Maybe she is at media saturation right now.
But I think the photo is truly beautiful and she really does look like the Disney version of Rapunzel so I guess she was a good choice.
