That's so awesome Greg - we've been waiting to hear where that art of exhibition was going to be. I can't wait!

Time and money aside, it is something I would make every effort to get to myself. Luckily it appears to be there for a while.

The timing is perfect as we are going down in December for the Disney Melbourne Symphony Concert - so we'll be able to see it then.

I'm thinking of doing this solo (if they let me - Jacob will be on schoolies, Craig will play golf but Angus is the loudest about my attempts to abandon him)

Apart from the symphony have you booked anything - accommodation or flights yet Keith? ( I know this is low priority given you now have 7 sleeps before sionara Australia)

Hi Beth!

Della and I have booked the flights but I think we'll probably change them. We booked a flight down on Saturday lunchtime and a flight back on Sunday morning because we just thought we were doing the symphony and nothing else. Now that the exhibition has been announced, I'll look to move the flight home to Sunday afternoon so we can spend the morning at the exhibition.

Wayne and Jennifer are coming down on the same weekend - I don't know if they've booked flights yet but they have certainly booked the symphony too.

As for accommodation - we'll just book something on Wotif when we get back from Tokyo (7 sleeps!)

I was checking out flights on webjet and noticed they charged an additional $10 price guarantee + $20 Processing fee !!!!!!

When I went straight to the airline I got the same discount flight but no additional $30.

Thanks for the heads up Beth - I bought the tickets this morning after I read your post. I didn't want to get caught in a worry like I did with the Titanic exhibit.

As for accommodation - we haven't looked at it yet. We'll probably get somewhere near where the concert is - but I haven't even looked at where that is yet. We'll probably do our home work on it this weekend and I'll then let you know where we decide to book.

Hi Beth - it was a pain booking accommodation for Melbourne - we were trying to find somewhere between where the concert is and where the ACMI is so we could just walk to both, but so many of the places were minimum two night stays (and we are just going down for Saturday night) or really expensive. In the end, we booked at The Langham on Southbank near the Crown complex - but it wasn't cheap - $292 direct with the hotel (cheaper than Wotif for once...).

Here is their website: http://melbourne.langhamhotels.com.au/

Woo hoo! Very excited about heading off to Melbourne tomorrow for Disney symphony and animation exhibition. -/

I intend Christmas shopping too so am taking an empty suitcase.

I hope Wayne and Jenny enjoyed Oprah at Federation Square!

No doubt Keith and I will keep you all posted over the weekend (ooh that sounds rather saucy - be assured Keith is travelling with Della and I am going solo - Yippee!)
