Disney cruise line from LA

I agree, this is great news. Disneyland and a cruise now seems like an obvious option after 2011.

I would love to do the 2 week repositioning cruise through the Panama Canal. That way you could do DL and WDW!

Yep - this will really make Disney Cruising a much easier option for all of us. I hope they start up a simple transfer system to get from Anaheim to Long Beach easily as well - like what they do in Florida. The only thing is - where will they cruise to? It is not like they can just go to the Bahamas, and they don't have a private West Coast island either - so I'm assuming it'll be places like Tijuana etc.

Mexican cruises would be the obvious otion for sure. But they could also do northern cruises to Canada with stops at San Fran, Seattle and Canada. And they also have not written off the concept of going to Alaska even though they didn't get permits. Appears the permits are only for the current popular spots to limit boats. There are other destinations they can explore going to as well.

I prefer the idea of the northern cruises - for some reason, Mexico has never really appealled to me - I'd much rather see the Pacific Northwest and Canada. I can't wait to see what their itinerary will be like.
