Sandie,

I had a look at the link you sent through of the Mystery Mine at Dollywood.
The Introduction to the ride itself looks great. It really draws you into the story of the mine before you even see the ride start. Almost like watching a movie.

What was the rest of Dollywood like? Obviously not Disney but it still looks it would be a fun day.

Opps - on the spelling slip up!

Dollywood was a great day - we would all like to go back. Was it Disney? No, but it wasn't that far off. Good themeing, awesome staff - a lot of them are volunteers who work in the park to raise awareness of their corner of the world and most of them are over 60 and really friendly, food was much better than any theme park we have ever been too. We had pulled pork, roast corn on the cobb and fried spicy potatoes.

The best part was their version of fast pass. You pay $20 a person for it and the group leader gets a little computer they wear around their neck. It contains all the rides and shows in it. You select what time shows you want to go to and they reserve your seats until 5 minutes before show time. At the same time you select one ride from the list you want to ride and it beeps when it is time for you to make your way over - you can arrive any time after so you don't have to rush. As soon as it beeps you pick the next ride. While this is happening you go on whatever you want. Its better than fast pass because you do not have to go to the ride and get a ticket and then go somewhere else and then come back!

The gardens are better than Disney and although its a small park there is enough to do for a two day visit.

We plan to go back again.

Does this mean the possibility of a Club Trip?

A number of our members have attended past Birthday Celebrations as part of a Club Trip for Disneyland’s 50th and Tokyo’s 25th.

2011 gives people plenty of time to save.
