Contacting Disney

Postby sandie » Tue Jul 01, 2008 4:32 pm

Does anyone have a email address for Disney in the US. I need to send a strong letter regarding my disgust at being kicked to the Australian site whenever I try to look at anything - heaven forbid I want to travel anywhere but Disneyland!!!!!!!!!

Try this link Sandie.

http://disney.go.com/index?intoverride=true

(thanks Churros!!)

This takes you straight to the US site and allows you to visit the website from any park from there.

I still want to send an email - it annoys the heck out of me that they dare presume that people in Australia are only interested in Disneyland - i know ranting does no good but seriously I am sick of being treated like we don't matter - I bet that when I go to disneyshopping.com my four times a year and spend over $200 each time that I am spending more than most Americans!

Ok i am going to go breathe deeply in a corner now!

Fair enough! And I totally agree with you, and I think most the others do too.

You may have provided some inspiration for a future IMHO 8)

There is a "contact us" section on their website. I have emailed both parks and got very quick responses. They will just forward it to the right section in Disney.

Errr...Sandie - did you send them an email? Because now if you click "Travel" on the Australian Disney Website, you get taken here:
http://www.disney.com.au/disneyland/dis ... _home.html

Which then allows you to click any of the other Disney owned resorts - not just straight to Disneyland like we used to!!
(hmmm...maybe they do read this website - I've been saying that a lot lately!)

Also - they have a new Disney Planning DVD available for Australian and New Zealand customers (that was another suggestion we made a while ago! Now if only they'd allow us to order the Disney Cruise Line planning DVD...)

I buy mine through ebay. They usually cost me $1 plus postage.

Heads up for anyone planning to visit a US park in the next 12 months, there is a rumour circulating that ticket prices are going up this weekend, so buy now!

Ahhh nuts.

The US Disney website got relaunched yesterday - but now it seems we cannot access it anymore :( Every attempt I've made to log into it has redirected me to the Australian site - the old override link we've used for the last few years no longer works.

If someone figures out a way, make sure you give us the details on this website!

At least we can still access the US sites for Disneyland and Disneyworld. They even took them from us last time they did a release.

Had a random thought today that I would try and access the disney.com from the iPhone using the wifi at work here, and lo and behold, I got straight through. Which is leading me somewhere else.

Recently at home I had cause to contact Apple as none of my devices at home would connect to app store, iTunes store or even the website. The very helpful guy told me to use an alternative DNS address, which by-passes the Bigpond "traffic" and connects me straight to the google "traffic" in the States. Now I haven't tried it yet, but I reckon, I may be able to access the .com site at home. If I can, I will jump onto the private section of the forum and post the DNS address. (I was asked not to post it publicly, so the private section is not public!).
