Thanks Colin - we've booked with one of the DVC rental places now.  Our first two nights at VWL \8-/

Re: Keith and Della's WDW 2016 Short Trip

All the cool kids are going in September ;)  Will you guys do MNSSHP?  I think you've done it before?  I'm thinking of doing it on our first night at WDW so we can stock up on 'candy' as treats for the kids - who am I kidding, for ME! - for the rest of the trip.

Re: Mickey Mouse quilt cover?

It's funny that this has popped up again now.  Jared and Josh both lost their Mickey and Lightning McQueen themed bedding at Christmas in favour of a different Star Wars set each.  Lucky Disney bought Lucasfilm otherwise I wouldn't have let them ;)

DVC villas vs moderate resort

Okay, so we're booked in for 11 nights at Caribbean Beach :) in September, but I've been thinking - always dangerous! - and now I think I might want to rent some points to stay at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge for just the first couple of nights.  Now, we're operating on a tight budget so we'd ...

Walt Disney Family Museum

I know this isn't in Disneyland, but I couldn't think of where else to put it! Our big trip is coming up later this year and I'm trying to hash out our days (geez WDW had changed since I was last there ).  I'm now at the SFO part of our trip and I'm trying to imagine what we'll be doing there...

Re: Club trip to Shanghai

June 16 is my birthday :)  No trip to Shanghai to celebrate though :(  I am really interested in visiting it, but it wouldn't be for some years yet.  We were looking at going to Tokyo again for our next big family trip, but with the radiation levels increasing in Tokyo Bay we're not real comfortable...

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

I was stunned when it happened.  Craig said he saw it coming from a mile away.  Maybe I just didn't see it because, well, he's Han - main characters aren't meant to die like that.  Craig wouldn't have had the same attachment since he thought Harrison Ford was Luke Skywalker until last year :lol:

Re: Today's Disney News from the front page...

My boys have Infinity on the Wii (1.0) and the XBox 360 (2.0 and 3.0).  My middle son (6) in particular loves both the Marvel playsets in 2.0 and the Star Wars playsets in 3.0.  I find myself playing as Princess Leia whenever I managed to get my hands on the controls and quite enjoy it, but I'm not ...

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

We all loved it.  It was Craig's first Star Wars movie ever and now he's keen - or at least willing - to see the original three :) The boys all sat still and watched most of it no worries.  A couple of the more quiet/emotional scenes had Josh fidgeting a bit, but then again he's only four.  I now ha...

Re: International student program

I don't know how I missed this thread for over a year?!?!

How did Jess apply Anthony?  Through her uni?  I have a friend whose daughter would like to do something like this in a few years (she's only going into Yr 12 next year).

Re: Disneyland April 2016

I would love to do a tour like that Kevin - maybe when the boys are a bit older.  I don't know how Jess's girls would go though, they may be a bit more interested than my kids.  I know it'd be about ten minutes before I heard the first "I'm booooooooored...":evil:

Re: Where do you buy your tickets?

We usually buy the 10 day passes before we go too, but next year we're only going to have three days so we'll buy them online somewhere.  I saw that ares has good prices so it might be from there.

Re: Disneyland April 2016

That's so awesome Jess, I'm so happy for you :)  We were looking at the Park Vue, but have ended up booking the Desert Inn.  Those hotels are so close, it's hard to look elsewhere.  Mind you, I wouldn't mind the Disneyland or Grand Cali again if somebody else was paying ;)

Re: Disneyland April 2016

Awesome awesome awesome! -/ -/ -/ -/ I was so excited when my friend sent me the link I wasn't able to sleep for the next three nights (including Saturday after the meeting). It cost us almost $3000 in taxes, which is a rort, but still much less than the $6000 I'd budgeted! Did you only hear about t...

Re: Kevin in Burbank

Yes, please do! We're going to Disneyland as a part of our BIG DISNEY TRIP (which always be written as such   ). We're going to Universal Florida, WDW, Disney Cruise and DL before heading up to San Francisco where I'm hoping to ditch the kids and husband for a few hours to check out the W...
