Re: Disney+ for Australia?

Well I'm FINALLY making time to watch Disney+, largely because I visited my Disney-loving sister in Canberra Nutcracker and the 4 Realms - felt like it started slow but was great in the end Decorating Disney at Christmas - loved this Into the Unknown - I'd watched the first but so interesting to see...

Re: COVID19 Thread

Well Brisbane is officially going into a 3 day lockdown (hoping 'hard & fast' does the job but no guarantees unfortunately). Masks are now mandatory and I'm more than willing to comply. Thankfully I have enough food so there wasn't a need to line up for over an hour just to get in the front door of ...

Re: COVID19 Thread

Wow that's a huge number of cases, however if they live and work together I guess it would spread quickly. I think we are becoming a bit complacent here (well in some areas, probably less so Victoria & Sydney who have felt lockdowns more than the rest of us). I did wear a face mask at Brisbane airpo...

Re: Upgrading of forum

I like the new look Greg. I'd noticed it had changed but didn't see your post until just now. Great work! Hope the arm heals soon, it sounds very painful and I can imagine it is frustrating.

Re: COVID19 Thread

Looks that way - going hard on any outbreak seems to be working here for us. Yes, as much as some of our states have been closed off from each other, it has paid off for us. Ironically, the year I can't travel and I haven't missed a Disneyana meeting yet! I won't make the lunch or dinner of course ...

Re: Target Australia Selling Disney Store Items

I'm wondering if the Targets selling Disney items are on the list to survive the planned changes, that or it's a good way to help Target survive. I did adopt a new kitten (Marie) and puppy (Pluto) from Target. I think a lot of people who couldn't go overseas for whatever reason have really enjoyed t...

Re: Disneyland Anaheim Closes

Here we are, 7 months on from Disneyland closing.  A 65th birthday never celebrated, too many staff have lost their jobs, and then there's the impact on businesses which relied on Disney guests for their own survival.  Don't get me wrong, I support any politician who is looking out for the welfare o...

Re: COVID19 Thread

I can only dream of a $200 flight to a Disney Park (actually right now I can only dream of any flight to a Disney Park).  You may be the first one of us to get to a park.  I believe Japan is hoping to open up to International tourists next Spring?  Hopefully that goes ahead. At this stage I'm just p...

Re: COVID19 Thread

Hong Kong Disneyland is reopening (again) this week - Friday 25 Sept :) But no way to get to Hong Kong. :-( Greg Wow Greg, how to bring us all down with a reality check!  I was ready to pack my bags and go sit at the airport...... I have a trip from January still to finish. Seriously though, I wond...

Re: 2020 Club Meetings

While it's nice that I'll be attending yet another meeting this year with the September meeting being on Zoom, in some ways it'll be nice when it's safe enough for people to catch up in groups again.

Re: Disney+ for Australia?

I haven't had time to get back onto Disney+ for a few weeks so there are still quite a few documentaries I want to watch before I move on to movies.  That said, I feel the cost of Mulan is actually quite good.  Consider that some people are sharing a subscription with wider family so they could spli...

Re: COVID19 Thread

I personally feel that USA has opened up quickly compared to other countries, however perhaps we think differently as our Govt's managed to keep the numbers lower.  It is comforting to see that Disneyland is taking it seriously enough to hold back on opening.  Will be interesting to see if WDW follo...

Re: Disney+ for Australia?

The first multi part documentary is the only one I've seen so far. I would like to watch all of the shorter, weekly ones as well. It is good. Greg Oh I didn't know there were more!  My friend could only find this one.  I'll have to get a subscription and make time as I really enjoyed it.  From comm...

Re: COVID19 Thread

Two of my friends in Hong Kong have already been to the park and were excited to go back even though the atmosphere isn't the same due to low crowds and less shows and parades. I can finally cancel my trip to the USA in Oct/Nov for a full credit which doesn't have to be used until Dec 2022.  This we...
