Re: Trip Planning - Hong Kong/Shanghai

Thanks Keith, we were concerned about waiting for the rooms to open up on the websites but maybe it'll end up cheaper.  Appreciate your feedback and looking forward to reading all about your trip!

Trip Planning - Hong Kong/Shanghai

I know there aren't too many readers on here so not sure it's the best place to ask however external forums usually give too much info that's hard to sort through for actual usable advice -  I'm going to Hong Kong & Shanghai next year for Chinese New Year as it's going into Year of the Rat which is ...

Re: Live action Dumbo

Yes, now you have me wondering if I should see it.

Greg
Haha, sorry I was trying to be neutral which is why I added it could wait for the small screen …… depending what you enjoy.  I love feel good movies.

Re: ABD Backstage Magic

I looked this up some years ago and would love to do it at some stage.  Sandie if you have the chance after your trip please do write a review, I'd love to hear about it.

Re: Live action Dumbo

Della is a crier in movies too :)  How did you go at Dumbo? In terms of the crying - very well actually with only slightly damp eyes toward the end (no tissues required).  In terms of the movie - no sign of the Tim Burton I don't enjoy, just the good side.  I enjoyed the movie and I liked that it w...

Re: Live action Dumbo

Shazam was good. I still haven't seen Dumbo and doubt I'll be making any special effort. I am looking forward to The Lion King but have mixed feelings about Aladdin. Greg I'm concerned about Tim Burton's involvement as I'm not a fan of his work, however I'm going with a friend and her little girl t...

Re: Lego - Disney Minifigures

I got all of them except for Alice last time.  It took a bit of swapping and buying at the club but it was a fun collection.  I'm looking forward to doing it all again - although it doesn't change my opinion on blind bags - they really are for suckers (like me). I agree about blind bags.  I'd spend...

Re: Live action Dumbo

This opens here today but I'm really torn as to whether I want to go and see it. Anyone seen it and can offer an opinion. Or haven't seen it and can still offer an opinion. :-) Greg I haven't seen it as yet but have heard good and bad reviews, largely good ones.  At least one bad review didn't like...

Re: Lego - Disney Minifigures

I did so well in the first set, just buying 4, then limited myself to 4 of the Harry Potter ones, now however I am hoping to get at least 8 of the next set.  Time to get ready to stand in Target going through the box of little bags finding my favourites.

Re: 2019 Club Meetings

I didn't realise we hadn't started a thread for this year...anyway - here goes :) I missed the first meeting of the year, but number two is on the way on 6th April...we will see you there! Haha - This always seems to be done by you so I didn't like to start anything!  Sadly I can't make the next on...

Re: Frozen 2

I was so disappointed in that Christmas calamity that I went into this one with lower expectations.   I'm happy to admit that I was impressed and looking forward to seeing it now. Greg   Oh no, nothing with Olaf is disappointing!  I'm a little biased though - I had a cheap little plastic Olaf from ...

Re: Is the DUD website past its use-by date?

Great news Keith!  I realise not everyone has the time or is up for writing travel reviews, but as someone who only visits the club once or twice a year, it's a great way for me to keep in touch with what's happening.

Re: Star Wars Lands!

I'm looking forward to Star Wars land in WDW - mainly in the hope that it takes the crowds away from Pandora and Toy Story land.  That said, I will try to visit the different Star Wars lands at some stage, I may not be a fan of the movies but I'm always up for seeing and enjoying what Disney create.

Re: Quick Trip to WDW

Wow what a great trip Keith and Della!  I love that you were happy to just head over for a short trip with a short list of must-dos and just take it easy.  Nice that crowds dispersed when it got cooler, a nice perk of traveling at that time of year. Festival of the Arts sounds great and something th...

Re: Disney Brings Broadway's Frozen to Sydney!

I saw the musical in New York with Lauren and we loved it.  They changed up enough to give it a fresh look and of course - lots of extra songs.  I'll see whether I come down to Sydney or wait until it comes to Brisbane (which the majority do nowadays).  Having just seen it, I'm happy to wait that ex...
