Re: Gathering of DCL Ships

we are/were planning to jump on the Wish when it launched.
That was our plan too - not sure now though, but I guess the delay to building the Wish may work in our favour :)

Re: Upgrading of forum

Retired - good for you!!! Sounds like you are living the dream up there (except for banged up arm!) This forum software is like what we used to use - I had to remember how to post URLs again :) I always liked this version - I think maybe the Disney icons in the topic page are a little too large as i...

Re: Today's Disney News from the front page...

Disney shakes up business to focus on streaming How interesting has this been? It looks like Disney really are going to make cinema releases secondary to their streaming service. I guess with 100 million paid subscribers each month, paying a minimum of $6USD each - that's $600 million US a month th...

Gathering of DCL Ships

An interesting photo coming out of the French port of Brest this morning - all four DCL ships, Wonder, Magic, Dream and Fantasy are located together. See the link below: https://disneycruiselineblog.com/2020/10/bonjour-the-disney-cruise-line-fleet-together-at-last-in-brest-france/ I'm not sure what ...

Re: Upgrading of forum

Hi Greg - I was wondering what had happened. I quite like this new version (need to fix the page graphics but otherwise it looks good).

What happened to your arm?

What are you doing in Thailand these days anyway - weren't you running a coffee shop and cinema in Laos or somewhere at one point?

Re: Disney+ for Australia?

There are some good ones there Greg. To be honest, I thought the making of Frozen 2 is one of the best documentaries from the Disney company I've ever seen. It was a true fly on the wall behind the scenes look at the last year of production including all the stress and doubt that goes into making th...

Yes - I heard on the news last night that they were hoping to have a bubble with Japan. So maybe there is a chance to get to a park next year...

Re: Disneyland Anaheim Closes

Yep - it is a bad situation for everyone. And it doesn't look like Disneyland will reopen this year now. I'm sure there is lobbying for it to happen by Christmas but the Covid situation there is out of control still so I don't hold out much hope. I saw Disney was releasing information last week show...

Re: Disney+ for Australia?

Yes - it was a bit like that.  I suspect though if we rewatched it knowing how it all ends and without the long gaps between seasons, it'll probably be a little easier to follow. Probably...LOL

Re: Disney+ for Australia?

I see the entire seven seasons of Once Upon a Time have now been released to Disney+

I really liked that series (up to season 6 anyway, 7 doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned!)

I hope they upload Once Upon a Time in Wonderland too as that was also a good single season.

Re: Disney+ for Australia?

The Australian price is $34.95 and you get to keep it in your Disney+ library for as long as you remain a subscriber (which will probably be forever for me).  But that said, it was leaked on the Disney+ UK site that Mulan will be made available to all subscribers on 4 December, so I guess a similar ...

Re: 2020 Club Meetings

Yes - I agree!  Let's hope we'll get back to some sort of normal next year perhaps.

Wayne is thinking of having a socially distanced picnic at some point - bring your own food and sit on a blanket somewhere. But as for an actual meeting - I guess it won't happen until next year now.

Re: Disney+ for Australia?

With the continued shut down of cinemas, Disney yesterday announced that they would be hosting the new live-action Mulan movie on Disney+ from the 4th September for $29.95USD.  That price means you effectively buy the film as it will always be accessible as long as you keep your Disney+ subscription...
