Build part 1 - The final stage is step 60 of around 750 - Took just over an hour to get to this point.

The unboxing

So, i finally got around to starting the build last night.  We've decided not to move house right now, so i thought i'd make the most of the long weekend.

My castle arrived on Friday! I haven't opened it yet, but once I get my photos onto my computer I'll post some pictures of the box. Not sure when I'll get a chance to start building, but I'll add photos as I go. Once it's built it will go on display with our other big Lego sets - Star Wars sand craw...

Glad you arrived safely. We thought about you last night, and needed you for trivia.
I always check out the shops first too, just to get an idea of what I need to buy, but I do most of my shopping at the end of the trip.

Yeah, i'm pretty excited.  As far as i'm aware, the pre-orders are for Lego VIP members only.
It has been available in some stores overseas too, but again, i think only for VIP purchases.
The shipping details say it's 13.5lbs, so it might be a bit heavy to bring home from WDW

So, I ordered the castle last week. It's shipping from Denmark, so I won't get it for around another 2 weeks, but at least I don't have to stress about getting to a store to find it! I'll post progress photos of my build!

Wow! So good. Tempted to go see it again.

I really shouldn't get it, but I probably will end up doing it. We're going to London & Paris at the beginning of August, so I'll have to try not to go overboard at Disneyland and the Disney stores
