Re: Future Club Trip

I like the 'birthday' idea too... I'm yet to make it to a club trip and I really want to.... its just fitting it in around all the other ones

Re: Keith and Della's WDW 2016 Short Trip

OMG... I missed all your trip report Keith... just did a catch up and loved it :) In response to a few of your musings: Security - yep... there was plenty ( and actually expected it to be moreso), but I didn't honestly notice guards walking around in the parks... perhaps I was just too hot and bothe...

Re: Karen's 2017 Birthday trip

I've stayed at both the Best Westerns across the road multiple times and that is my first choice every time.  I would LOVE to stay at a Disney hotel in Anaheim but I always think of what I could do with the money I've saved and book a good neighbour anyway.   I think they're all pretty good as far a...

Re: The BIG trip

I'm getting there, but it's taking a while :)
Glad to hear it :)  I think you did an amazing job... I only took two kids to Tokyo when they were little and that was enough for me.

Re: Today's Disney News from the front page...

what appears to be a personal crusade. Yep - that sums it up.  Wanda is really trying to stick it to Disney by showing they are a true Chinese park and not a foreign invader so to speak.  But I don't think Disney will mind, competition in the market has never hurt Disney's business - and they have ...

Re: Two new cruise ships!

So, if Disney offered cruises out of Sydney, that just sailed around for a week without docking, would you be interested? I can understand wanting to visit ports if you have traveled a long way just to get to the ship and the ports are somewhere you haven't been before. For myself, a week on a Disn...

Re: The BIG trip

We packed TOO much into our trip I think.  I ended up getting quite sick with my anxiety and the two littlest boys were pretty horrid by the time we got to SF - just over tired and ready for a return to routine.  I can pinpoint the one scheduling mistake that buggered us up.  The day we got off the...

Re: Two new cruise ships!

I guess I'm really wondering, if Disney offered a cruise that didn't have port days at all would they still get people doing it? Greg I think some would, but perhaps not enough?  not sure... for me, the ports are the reason I'm on there... Disneyfication is a definite bonus but I'd be happy to crui...

Re: Pete's Dragon

yep... Boy-Dragon-forest... thats about the only semblance of the original.

And its def a slow burn... its interesting, and has its 'go the little guy' moments, and I'd watch it again if it were free... but I'm not likely to add it to my collection.

Cozumel! Little Mexican restaurants around the square (piazza?) and a roving mariachi band. Cheap beer, good cheap food...what more could you want?

Re: Hurricane Matthew

Interesting comments about the travel insurance Lisa. We always use Covermore too and have never had a problem, yet the girl who sits beside me in my office has suggested Allianz as it was much cheaper - from you comments above, I guess I'll stick with Covermore! yep, I've learned my lesson...despi...

Re: New Hotel at Tokyo Disneyland opens

Our first Disney trip was to Tokyo during Halloween times, but its so much more these days ( that was back in 1999).  Generally I find merch to be a little dearer than at the US parks but only marginally and thats also taking into account the exchange rate of the day. Having said that, Tokyo has the...

Re: Two new cruise ships!

Just to go back to the older comments... As a family cruise, with kids, how important are the ports and how important is the cruise itself? As "older people" how important are they to you?  Greg As an 'older person' I loved the themed cruise for Halloween. I loved the way the meals worked.  I loved...

Re: Two new cruise ships!

Imagination was talked about on our cruise as a name for a new ship.  I think our server told us that one?
I like that too... that would definitely be appropriate.

Re: The BIG trip

Mel, you packed in so much on your trip... and I'm so impressed how you all handled the heat.   I have to say, I struggled with the heat and crowds... it was pretty overwhelming for a first timer.  I would have to call it quits just after lunch and head back to the resort for a swim/aircon and then ...
